Probably the best video on TH-cam regarding the MacBook Air. You clearly explained how long the battery lasts while editing videos, around 3 to 4 hours. Also adding how long it takes to fully charge from 25 percent was also valuable information. Additionally, thank you for explaining how the screen looks outside, 400 nits isn't enough. Very informative video. A very capable travel laptop.

It's a great laptop, agreed. I can actually edit 4K videos at 60fps on my M1 Air with very little issues in FCPX. As long as you keep the video length reasonable, and are not adding tons of layers and effects, it will keep up. I managed a 25 minute video with multiple layers and graphics (and minor colour grading), and it worked quite well (I have the base model as well) For photos and general productivity it's fantastic.

After using the base MacBook Air M1 for my work laptop, definitely loved the light weight carry and was able to use multiple programs at one time. Battery life was great. My boyfriend has the same model as his personal use, for his various guitar plugins and guitar programs. Definitely better than my 2016 MacBook Pro (which has slowed down a lot). So, definitely switching to it this year and will be in my ecosystem for years to come. Also, loved your iPad mini 6 video (planning on purchasing that as well soon).

So glad it helped you out! And I agree, the pro is made for professionals who have heavy footage like 4k,6k, or even 8k and want a seamless and efficient experience. I got it for Christmas it was technically a Christmas gift to myself. I love the the battery life Is amazing its so fast especially coming from an acer 6 year old Chromebook. This display OMG its so good I did some research its 2k no wonder its so damn good. The build quality Is just amazing. This MacBook I would recommend to most people. People that are not doing a crazy insane amount of high quality video editing or intense gaming on the go. Its such an upgrade from that 6 year old Chromebook. I do not really watch TH-cam on my iPhone 11 anymore manly my MacBook just because bigger screen and the screen on the M1 MacBook Air is a lot higher quality then the screen on the standard iPhone 11.

    • @anna.tnguyen

What an upgrade!! The display is something else hahahaha, it's soooo beautiful and vibrant and crisp. And I agree, I think the MacBook is great for the general everyday user, who even would like to edit, but for intensive purposes like 8k footage, gaming, large motion graphics files, or etc. it's not the ideal laptop. But, nonetheless, still an underrated laptop!!

if you are ready to buy new laptop it is worth buying and i love macbook air m1, my mom bought it last october 10 2021.
I use it mostly on my thesis and other school work from 10 am to 11 pm my battery was 23% (minimum % i experienced) since I started 100% using it ( if you're only doing paper works). yes like she stated that i never encountered any over heating. But please reminder please please.
Don't use keyboard protector, screen protector and don't leave your laptop closed so long because it leave a mark on monitor or screen like I've experienced (when i leave my laptop close for too long) that can probably can damage your screen permanently. and it is annoying on the eye.

Maybe somewhere between the M1 and M1 pro? I am also looking for more ports but the next Air may not have it. Tbh comparison is such a killjoy and I'm torn between getting the base model M1 Air (that comes with great discounts on retail stores) or M1 Air with maxed out ram (retailers don't sell that and buying from the apple website means the same price when it was og released months ago) OR just get the base level 14" Pro. And then there's these news.
