    Thank you for this video. And congratulations on your high score. It is a fact that standardized tests like the SAT and GRE correlate with tests designed to measure IQ. So then you have excellent cognitive abilities. I'm sure your preparation made a difference, but it's not likely your prep changed your test score substantially. I found the GRE to be absolutely grueling when I took some 30+ years ago. My primary concern was how insomnia and anxiety might affect my score. I do not remember my score, but it was enough to meet my entrance requirements for graduate school.

    My final tip: some of you are night owl academics like me and the exam in your country may happen at 9 AM when you would be normally be asleep. If this is true then this is suicidal for your grades. Do the practice of 10 mock tests mentioned here exactly when the test in region might be happening in the day if possible. If you have jobs, at the very least make sure you are fully natural for months to be awake and active at that time of day. Good luck.

    Practise, practise, practise, I couldn't agree more! All the tips and strategies that I learnt in my first attempt were useless (sometimes even detrimental, instead of using a strategy, I thought of that strategy during the test, which wasted time 😤). On the second attempt, where I finally got a 330+, it all boiled down to an efficient and well conducted practise.

    Hi there! I have my GRE coming up this Friday and... unfortunately the past 4-5 months my studying has been inconsistent and I haven't retained a lot due to a full time job so I've pushed the date back once already yet here I am again feeling unprepared:(
    Just hearing you say how it's really good to take many practice questions and tests I barely even grazed them due to being so worried about how to even solve or remember certain types of questions.
    With everything you've said, I feel like I need to postpone my scheduled date
    I'm so conflicted since I've already changed the date once. Would love to hear your insight on pushing back test dates. Whether I need to just suck it up and take it or be willing to suck up more money if I dont do as well as I need to. I know it's a pretty subjective situation and maybe theres nothing you can say.

    • @TheTestedTutor
      @TheTestedTutor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    My current score is not significant, however, I could make progress 12 scores within only 20 days by watching your videos, making my overall score 308. I would like to thank you for the valuable contents that you have shared for free.♥️♥️♥️

    Hi, I have problem with expanding my vocabulary. Can u suggest which words list should I use to study?
    EDIT: Currently I am referring to Barron's Verbal Workbook for Vocabulary. It has around 3000 words. Is it sufficient enough?

      That is a good start. Then do Magoosh flashcard app and the 1853 most advanced Scribd list.

    Hi Philip, what do you consider the best resources for practice questions? I’ve been using OG guide and Manhattan 5LB. Would you recommend any other sources of practice problems?

    • @TheTestedTutor
      @TheTestedTutor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Magoosh also has great resources, and ScholarDen!

    Did you scored 340 many times or atleast sometimes in practise tests before real tests? And is it necessray to score perfect score so that we can be assured before real one if I am aiming for perfect score?

    I've written it twice and got a pathetic 302 and a 300. I'm giving the exam again in a month's time and this will be my last attempt. I'm new to this channel and hope it helps. Should say that after watching this video I kinda got a positive vibe.

      Not pathetic, just need practice and perseverance. Let me know what your questions are after watching all my other videos.

      @@TheTestedTutor I did watch all the videos in your channel . I found that I was employing a terrible strategy in reading comprehension ( reading slowly AND TAKING NOTES)..burning the clock and always end up in a time crunch. I'm completely relying on your advice this time for my last attempt. Can you please upload few more videos where you solve some more questions on verbal section of the test ..? I did subscribe and recommended your channel to my friends. Thank you for all you have done.

    Do you believe ManhattanPrep's material is good for verbal section practice? I'm asking since I don't want to run out of practice material, and I'm grinding thru the 5 lbs book for quant practice right now, but I've heard conflicting advice about their verbal stuff.

    • @TheTestedTutor
      @TheTestedTutor  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is definitely a good start. Depending on budget there is so much else to do after as well

      All of the above are great. You named the best 3 providers, in my opinion.
