      Glad you enjoyed it.
Such a magical place. Currently looking for a place to move to there.

The place is full of mainlanders nowadays and they have forced the locals out of the market, you have to remember that Tassie is an island and there is little work so average incomes are therefore much lower, that is for those who are lucky enough to have a job.I have a friend in Mathina with a beautiful view of the mountain in your post, mathina is an old gold mining town,
      inland from St Helens.@@aussiebeekeeping

Oops I neglected to say that it is surrounded by national parkland and so is pretty scrubby, hint hint.

Im in a similar boat here in Geelong. Melbourners have wrecked the small town feel. That why we want to move.
We went to St Helen’s on the way to Bicheno. Amazing coastline.
As I get older, work and money isn’t so important as a beautiful view.

We actually went through Mathina on the way back to Launceston from st Helen’s. We meant to go the higher route but ended up on 60kms of logging tracks. Went through some gorgeous little town.
