Happy 2025 both! And: Serpentine paths are the best. I'm actually grinning at the screen because of both of you. Proud and i don't even know you personally, but yes. Languages and translations are important. I picked up a copy of a new Torah translation a while ago. I'm not connected... until i am.
    A blessed year everyone!!

Recent subscriber here of a few months I’m so sad I missed this live! Both of your energies are so genuine and lovely, can’t wait for the next one! Dani if you are okay with it would you ever consider doing a video on some of your Traiteur journey? I find it fascinating, I was born in Cuba and there we have something similar called Curanderos, which runs in my family, and interestingly enough I also live in Louisiana lol! Lafayette to be exact, small world 🤣 thank y’all for this! Also I just watched hot takes live and y’all definitely have to have a practical magic movie night! ♥️

I live around Lafayette too! Unfortunately, When it comes to the traiteur stuff, I’m not allowed to share much due to the tradition of how it’s passed on from one person to another. We are not allowed to share our rituals or prayers or anything unless it’s to teach the next person in our line- but some things I can chat about 😁

@DaniMystic Oh wow that’s awesome lol!
Completely understood, such a beautiful practice then to be cared for like that. I’m sure your ancestors are very proud 💙
Happy new year to you and Lisa 🎆

I grabbed manacled after you talked about it and I have devoured it. I read all last night, and this morning. I am on page 800 and will probably finish it today. It has been quite awhile that I dived so deep into a book. It has been amazing. Didn’t even get to finish this video I have it paused until I finish reading it. Just had to come and tell people to grab it now before it is gone at the end of this month.

It's SO good and I highly recommend a re-read - the second time was a uniquely special experience too!

The Spiritual/Magickal section of this was my favorite to listen to. Congrats on your accomplishments with your path, Dani! I’d love to hear more about Lisa’s deity ‘side quest’, lol.
    Fascinating share! 💕
I did pick up The Contemplative Tarot book that Lisa showed in a video. It will be interesting to read a christian perspective on the tarot.

I've been enjoying The Contemplative Tarot. I think that, like any resource, I take what works and leave the rest, but it's been a lovely experience working with it so far! :)

I hope Lisa shares the resources she found for her Bible study. Ever since I discovered the Black Madonna, I’ve been drawn to heal some religious wounds but I’ve been having trouble finding resources that aren’t steeped in dogma.

LOL It's a lot because I have been looking at LOTS of perspectives, but I started with the NRSVue translation of the bible and also began with the book "Reading the Bible Again for the first time" by Marcus J Borg. The *MOST* healing thing I saw/encountered was a talk given by John Shelby Spong (if you search his name on TH-cam you'll find some of his presentations). He is an episcopalian Bishop who speaks of how the church has gotten so much *wrong* about religion. I've also got one of his books but haven't read yet. ;) I ahave read some of Rachel Held Evan's work - Inspired is the book I have, as well as How the Bible Works by Pete Enns, and also Christian WItchcraft by Sara Raztresen and Emyle D. Prata. I also enjoy The Bible for Normal People (podcast) and @maklelan on TikTok or Instagram (he also has a Data over Dogma podcast which is very good). For my research into the divine feminine sidequestyness, I think When God Had a Wife is the best resource. I also have a book called The Great Lady which is fascinating as well. A lot of personal dipping and diving into various areas and questioning anything that doesn't feel right.

The name Yahweh, jehovah, YHVH is the masculine principle of Y being added to Havah, or EVE - the precedent is found in India in the image of ardhanarisvara - Siva and Sakti in one form, earlier than that, twin serpents. The remnant of this is in the story of Lilith and Samael, and the destruction of this archetype is echoed in all the dragon slaying stories of the world. Liliths partner, Samael, is killed by a Sun god who takes over and she becomes the witch archetype

Such a cool perspective - the idea of the masculine principle and feminine existing within the tetragammaton as one balanced/whole divine presence. I love the comparison to Siva/Sakti - that makes so much sense to me.

Dani - during the spiritual section, you are using a term that I’m not familiar with and can’t seem to decipher or figure out… sounds French… Tres..something? Maybe? Help?

    • @DaniMystic

A traiteur (masc) or traiteuse (fem) is a Cajun French term for our folk healers. It’s an oral tradition that is passed down typically within families. It’s a long held sacred practice in my culture.
