    I’m a professional at this kind of stuff. Nice job! The baggie trick looks interesting, I might give it a try someday. I came across this video because I wanted to know about the bracket and if was worth the price, it looks to me like it is due to the fact it was designed specifically for the sound bar with vibration in mind. Thanks for the information.

      Thank You John Doe! The bracket has a thick rubber coating. I do not hear any vibrations when in use. I believe it was worth the money.

      Yup, no brainer to spend the little extra money for the official mount when you are already spending a wad of cash for a premium sound bar.

    Nice video but the raw power cord behind the drywall is a code violation. I wish SONOS would develop a system specifically for their products to hide the wires. I installed a wall outlet directly behind the mounted soundbar with a very short power cord.

    3 issues with this video: 1. Drilling the holes bigger than instructed for the drywall anchors - they might spin and wont hold as well as the actual hole. 2. Shouldnt add the plate on the wall until AFTER the wire has been fished - its much easier to fish before the plate. 3. Power cords behind the walls is in most places is a code violation.

  • @Phantastic76
    @Phantastic76 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Just wondering. Did you fish the power cable up the channel as well? Was going to do so but I have read online that it violates fire code

    • @whitenoise7618
      @whitenoise7618  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is a great point. I did fish the power cable through the wall. After seeing your comment, I did some research and found a product that looks to be code compliant. It's the Legrand In-Wall Soundbar Power Kit sold at Best Buy. There are some other products available on Amazon too.

    • @JohnDoe-mb4mv
      @JohnDoe-mb4mv 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve been fishing wire for over 30yrs in the alarm field, I hung many TVs and installed a few hard wired surround sound systems. I fished the power wire in the wall on every installation and never ever had a problem or concern about it. If you think about it, the wire is protected by a jacket that sits inside the wall just like your common Romex wire does. The only thing I would recommend doing, is securing the end that plugs into the TV with a tie wrap, make sure the cord isn’t strained and you’ll be fine

    • @snoww2009

    Is the arc far enough out to not bounce sound off the bottom of the tv ? This has been an issue with a lot of wall mounts being that a lot of tv mounts stick out further and the arc has speakers firing on top . Thanks !

    • @whitenoise7618
      @whitenoise7618  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good question. I paid for the actual Sonos mount which came with a cardboard template showing where to mount it in relation to the bottom of the TV. There is also a Room Tuning Sequence the Arc performs once you are setup which I think might help with this issue. However I am far from an expert. I'm sure you can find a video on TH-cam that may address this topic better.

    As a pro there’s several things wrong with this video that you should be aware of if you are diying. One, secure the bracket to at least one stub in the center of the bracket if not two stubs. Those aren’t drywall anchors they are meant for brick. Two, don’t run the power cord in the wall. It is a fire hazard and if a fire happens could cause the fire to spread quicker in the home.
