Ya he did. I started using laravel and never looked back. You can see adonisjs and other frameworks mimic the laravel way because it was done so well.

Laravel is the best framework not only the features, but they really put effort into making the documentation as best as possible. I'd never seen any backend framework did something like that, giving every single section with example code, and really easy to understand even without knowledge before. I can even teach students without having to prepare the material first.

Follow your instinct - if you solve a problem you got a market - thanks for creating Laravel Mr.Taylor I use it every day, I love it and still learning about it! am really happy with this

this is brilliant and I feel that he's honest as well. I remember from The Success Podcast, one of the billionaire's goal was to open a motel, but first he started a catering firm and after that a cleaning firm, and when he finally open his motel he could offer the same quality as his competitors but for a lower price since he could get such a great deal on catering and cleaning. Taylor has a similar approach with Laravel, Laravel was supposed to be a tool for him to use when he made Forge, Spark, Statamic, Vapor, Nova etc. but then of course Laravel became the nut 🚀

Best side projects are ones that solves your problem. Because even when no one uses it, you just made your life better.
    .
If the problem is something that you (1) face on a daily basis (2) slows you down (3) is really annoying - then maybe it's something that affects many other developers too.
    .
Reddit people really criticize a lot.
    .
    And we know, they're wrong.
    They're random comments.
    And we believe in passion.
    .
Only listen to someone invested in the same thing you're in.
    .
Every product I've launched, most of the people even half, said "I don't know who's gonna use this." But there were the silent listeners who suffered from the same problem, and really wanted to use it.
    .
It's easy for them to give an opinion. That's just another voice in the crowd. So don't let the not-helpful comments bother you enough.
    .
Trust your gut - don't distrust your instinct. Keep pushing forward.

There are too many incompetent trolls online: quick to jump to a conclusion (or downvote) from their narrow perspective, often without even giving any valid analysis.
Reddit can be especially bad: fools celebrating their collective ignorance.

Most of them aren't really from a programming background.
It's so bad, but I guess that's how it's meant to be.
