One rule-of-thumb that i always did with her is to clear the mid waves BEFORE i went to help other lanes. I feel like most players don't prioritize taking the mid minions and rotate a bit too much in the early game, leading them to be behind in gold most of the time
Agree. Novaria is one of the fastest lane clearer in the early game. Too many times I see either my Ally or Enemy Novaria left their lane.

Def man I used to this almost with all images by mid game eventhough of having the most kill, my gold amount is slight above roamer.thus I have hard time later on. Luckily a food friend of mine pointed our my mistake
I guess this is where luo yi lags if she gets the buff on minions instead of spamming skills she will be meta
Burst build is used to lower enemy squishies health so they can't participate in teamfights, while CDR build is for supportive effects, more mobility, and better dps. You use CDR if the enemy is tanky or have many chase heroes. You use burst build if you already have a lot of dps on your team.

Yep, this is my go-to build for her, but its still weird when a lots of player condemn this build while I have the highest assist and lowest death.
And this build is super viable on roam Novaria, low cd and easier to give vision without needing to back to base. One more thing I use on her is flameshot to further lower the enemy's health
The thing is, this build's dmg is lower than the regular build..
@@GReyn true but the fact that her ult is spammable is better imo, as the teammate can pinpoint the enemies position thus ensuring survivability and cause the dps to live longer. More ult= more vision= live more = higher team dps
Also roam nova main purpose is to cancel enemy flank as well as enabling combo with AOE heroes such as Vale and Terizla. Not necessarily to dish out dmg by herself persay
@@JoyShock. I would still go for the regular build.. but change Clock of Destiny with Fleeting Time, since Fleeting time also reduces ult cd whenever she gets an assist..
So,
lightning Truncheon, Holy Crystal, Bloody Wings, Divine Glaive, and Fleeting Time (+ Boots)
This is my go to build for Novaria ever since the change on Lightning Truncheon..
I still have lower cd from Lightning Truncheon + Fleeting Time, while still maximizing my overall dmg..
With Bloody Wings shield, i can get more movement speed, further increasing her roaming capabilities..
Divine Glaive can be replaced by any other item if the enemies dont build too much magic resist..
I would only use this build if i use nova roam. but i never did.
When you posted your first vid on ice queen wand on novaria, I never change my build. Yes, it’s very easy and helpful to teammates. Just one advise, be always aware on your surroundings especially on mini map. You’re very vulnerable to target lock. Kudos Hororo, more video tips to come.
depends on enemy composition tbh, if they have sustain fighter, tank roamer, and fighter as jungler I always use cooldown + ice build. but if their jungler is assassin and roamer support/assassin, lightning burst is more like it
agree with this. nova more suitable with the items giving poking damage like glowing wand + ice wand for slowing down them if the enemies got lots sustain or high HP.
You forget that high damage is also a utility. Able to force their mage or marksmen to retreat is a huge thing. I still remember at late game, enemy can't even push out of their own base due to Novaria constantly harassing them. After making full recovery, they left fountain only to be reduced back to 30% HP. It's not one shot but it is still threatening.
That only happen when you know how to aim and if enemies are weak. Usually the nova players miss like 90% of the time or the enemy is just too smart they avoid it. So support is like the starter build while dmg build if you get good with her.

@@evilshadowshadow1249alot of my shots hits (well not really because my nova is pretty mushy rn , probably 70% chance) and yeah it's pretty much true. honestly as a nova user even when fighting nova i've never seen a bad nova (?) but either me or my team knows how to dodge her but beside that most of them also has bad positions , when using lock/diving heroes i always make a use of my heroes capability to kill novaria because she could be dangerous if given free hits...
but honestly i don't think enemy being pretty tanky matters. because her skill 2 dmg is also hp based , so least she could do is probably 20% of the enemy hp. this is why i also use dmg build novaria
@@evilshadowshadow1249 The thing is, I dont get how novaria that can miss to hit hero that cannot dash, slow down and visible on map exist. How? I get it if franco miss his hook but this? It outrageous. It feel like how Eudora use her ult on enemy tank
@@evilshadowshadow1249well it doesn't even matter because of how spammable her 2nd skill is , also missing her skill is fine no one gets mad at that because it also serves as an extra vision , u can just throw ur 2nd skill at every bush there is to serve vision

i play full burst build knowing full well it wont one shot, but i like it because it makes the enemy retreat to base more often cus they take more dmg
even with the usual utility build, at late game youd halven the hp, its just overkill with full burst, what ur build anyway
@@a-noobis1689You wouldnt. You can see she only deals around 900-1000 dmg in late game. Plus the enemy isnt even building Athena.
i meant building her with enchanted and ice queen, burst build isnt compatible since her magic scaling is low@@EmptyShark

The reason i used holy crystal is because ever since lighting truncheon changes she doesn't deal as much as before. before lt changes i always use
Ice Queen Wand/Necklace Of Durance/Glowing Wand/Genius Wand

Lightning - yes, she has low magic scaling, and with the recent changes of IT turning to magic based kinda sucks, but there isn't really any other good items to build
Ice queen- for slows and support
Upgrade gem to either cod if enemy has burst, and necklace if enemy has heal, both items are now situational
Glaive for penetraition
Winter and immo
I don't think holy is good for her, she'd benefit much more with the mov. Speed from ice queen, and if you pair that with lt, you'd get even better mobility and more stacks for ur 2nd, if you ask me way better than just raw damage when both damages are similar in on itself
I'd argue a one-shot build paired with flameshot brings way more value.
As you will naturally either completely disable their squishy heroes or force them build magic defense and sacrifice dmg which then benefits the rest of your team.
Not to mention there is no counter to Novaria's Ult + snipe + flameshot set up, as you cant egen see her on the mini map lol

I used to build ice q wand glowing enchanted with cool down boots but it has no damage I only do supporting the burst one got me more wins tho

You either react in time and try to dodge or die. If she ults, you die regardless 💀
I main novaria and I always stick to 45% cd build just because U have 2nd skill more often which gives you more mobility and also you can hit more frequently (if you land a shot lol)
Finally someone using the support items. Same build except i use mage emblem and fleeting of time and magic PEN instead of mana book and immortality.
I mean full burst doesn't work on every hero, but it does wonders on Zhask, despite these bugs:
Summarised: Zhask's spawn counts as both a creep and hero unit at the same time and the wall hitboxes suck. (I noticed that the damage problems seem to affect all summoned units, but neither sun nor vex seem as badly affected as Zhask, but please correct me if I'm wrong), and in some situations his ult basically just immediately runs out. FIX ZHASK.
Can we get a zhask bug fix? His spawn takes full damage from both retribution and dhs (which makes helcurt one shot my ult or me and my passive, and it takes two instances of damage from cursed helmet, one normal and one 350%),
he can't ult in minsi's anti-dash field under any circumstance, even when its an on the spot morph,
the wall's hitboxes are just broken(I often clearly teleport over a wall and stay on the same side),
if you activate his ultimate but subsequently die before morphing, the ultimate goes on cooldown despite the fact that it hasn't really been cast (I think most of us would love i-frames during the morphing phase- between triggering and being in it),
when you leave the ult before it ends, and reposition it when its at its despawn range, the animation plays but no ult spawns. Furthermore, casting ult again after this causes its duration to drop to essentially zero and immediately end upon casting, WHICH SURELY COUNTS AS GAME BREAKING, so in conclusion: please help bring awareness about zhask's bugs because the help service doesn't work unless we all spam it I'd presume or someone makes a video. Please make a video.
Trueee you can play it like yve but if you had crazy aim assist you can build burst just to scared people away, or if u wanna both playstyle imo book, lightning and ice queen is a best combo
Fun fact, you can build a full mage emblem without mana boots or talisman, if you build clock of destiny as your first item and upgrade your first skill before second skill. This gives you a true full damage build with only having to recall once or twice per game.
So what do we make for boots?
@@ahmedsachwani2868 make boots second for magic penetration , remember that novarias skills only inherit 50% of magic power, hence it's better to invest in as many magic pen items as possible, even emblems

@@ahmedsachwani2868 my build- arcane boots, clock of destiny, lightning truncheon , magic wand, divine glaive. After this you can follow with either crystal, wings or winter truncheon depending on situation. A secondary plus a flameshot is a kill with this build
@@ozairaa4424 I usually go trunch, divine, crystal and glowing wand. If I hit someone and lower their hp the trunch passive takes them out. Even if they do survive the burn damage ends them. For boots I use pen boots
Damn I tried this and it was really effective, especially for players like me that are having a hard time making the 2nd skill hit the target.
After the LT change... I prefer to use Glowing wand in place of Clock of destiny

I always used burst novaria because every novaria i encounter used burst but seeing you video change my mind to use cdr build because not only low cd but slow, vision and i can spam ulti to help my teammates

I have a similar style, but still second first and with lightning truncheon, wields great results, very safe, very pokey, but strong enough to kill squishies with a flameshot
True. Mostly mage i play with cdr build like vexana, vale coz spamming skill is fun. Burst is ok but seeing ur skil often is fun 😆

This goes for vexana to, she can 1 shot heroes bur she does less damage than heroes like vale,eudora so it like using cd reduction to just do lane clearing and crowd controls if you use her right you can carry and teamfight easily
Actually, Vexana's damage is very conditional. It's either large or not. 'Cause it depends on the quantity of her enemies. But most of the time, she's more of a poke mage only like Novaria because her max damage is hard to utilize.

I like roaming with direhit and burst build as it makes me practically a heavy threat to enemies without magic defense

This was my old setup before, but i got nagged at by my teammates for lacking damage.. :( i honestly prefer this since you can actually hit second skill with a higher chance due to ice queen.. and the first hits hard cause of glowing wand.. dont forget that you could spam skills and never run out of mana

Enchanted with burst items work fine IMO. Enchanted is my 5th item after burst items.
I think you might as well use Rafa if you want this item build. More utility.
I remember people saying shes useless when she was just released on original server , now look at her now , staying as one of the most high prio picks as a mid laner and a roamer on both tournaments and high elo since her release lmao
And they didn't even gave her a buff when she got released on original server instead she got an immediate nerf on her damage

my build for Novaria is Talisman, CoD, LT if the enemies are squishy and go for max magic or magic pen. However, if they are sustain, I'd go for talisman, glowing, ice queen, durance, and divine glaive.
PS: dude, playing Novaria on a tablet is basically a cheat. you have wider real estate when you use your 2nd skill.

i played novaria with common emblem with impure rage, so far im not running out of mana even tho i didn't build with enchanted talisman, im building damage build to compensate of weaker damage emblem

Best hero for kill stealing
Idk lightning truncheon is good for both of her first and second skill. The first skill especially cause it makes her first skill deal more burst damage, which you can use to get movement speed and more damage, and even kill steal 😂
i build them all and u can stil get LT effect with 45cdr and slowness

Ig it is a preference, but i still prefer the burst build tho..
The thing is with Novaria, your target are always the squishy heroes..
With the burst build, sure you are not oneshotting the enemies, but by making them low hp, they will think twice to go into war, and back away instead..
And with thw burst build, against squishy heroes, you can one shot them if they only have 50% - 75% of their Hp depending on how built your novaria is..
One thing for sure tho, never pick Novaria against more than 1 tanky heroes..
CD reduction is her main need for items. Her damage is HP-based so these Ice Queen wand and a few damage items might help. No need for CoD since LT doesn't rely on mana anymore, but on Magic dmg instead.

Any magic item you want/Def Item for Late Game.
Unpopular opinion here. I think this build is crap. Novaria just cant utilize Ice queen and Glowing wands as well as other mages. Anyway I definitely have my own bias since I love burst mages. Burst build on Novaria is not a waste at all in my opinion. Managing to reduce the health of enemy MM or Mage by half in late game is pretty good I'd say. Also this can force the enemies to build Athena shield. Effectively wasting one of their item slots. Anyway, I agree that it's better to use utility build if you are not confident in your aim.
Her 1st skill utilizes both Ice Queen and Glowing wand perfectly.
Building her burst worked well before because LT's passive dealt the damage needed for it to work. Now that LT's passive was reworked and it's effective only in late game, building her burst is pointless. She takes too much time to come online with a full build.

I would use this build if i used "roam" nova which i barely did because you're making nova into a support and not dps
Beside that , In the video you could see that Hororo's team lack dmg dealer either. There's already 2 (Terizla,Franco) Or even 3 (Lancelot) Tank. And you know lancetsnk pretty much lack dmg with tank build. i mean , natan might even be able to solo him. Ice queen wand can work with her but it doesn't combos that well with her because enemy could just walk out of her skill 1 field which won't give enemy extra slowness
What does Nod even for anyway? There's Already 2 Dominance Ice on the team. Glowing Wand? For poking it is good so i won't really call it bad choice , atleast not as bad as other
I don't know how hororo's nova can have that much kill but i know nova man so i don't think that really shows much
this build is easier, but in no way it is better than the full burst build.
But the burst build requires much more position and trigger discipline and hence is a waste if for someone who doesnt know how to cycle novaria's cooldowns. in that case this build is a bit better.
I will always Use her One shot build,I don't give af on her mana or her cooldown

My rule of thumb is that quickly clear mid with S1 S2 and then quickly go to either lane to last shot their minnions as well
