Hmm... I see your points. But I think in Platinum's trust file it kind of shows that she has feelings for, or is at least attracted to, Dokutah. In her dream she seemed to want the doctor to go on vacation with her and she asked the doctor to hold her for a while longer "since the doctor has nothing to lose" in the dream anyway. She understood that she was projecting, and her feelings were definitely from the fact Rhodes Island and by extension the doctor freed her from a life she hated living. When she wakes up it is hard to tell her emotion when she sees the doctor, but she seems disappointed that the doctor isn't just doting on her and she asks the doctor to go with her before it fades to black. She could be seeing the doctor as a parental figure, but it seems to me that she is legitimately interested in spending time with the doctor and developing a relationship.

Turns out I was kinda right when I theorised they worked for different factions back in the day. I love the detail that Gravel's on board line is the moment when you meet her at Kazimierz its a nice touch. I also think Gravel and Platinum do like the Dokutah, but I'll wait to hear what you have to say about it, see if you can convince me.

Honestly, the biggest plot twist for me was the assassin's acting like they love you ACTUALLY being in love with you. Even some of the choices you make with Gravel you can brush it off as her "personality". Amiya does seem to get uncomfortable with it though.

Plus, I think the Doctor just going about and saving her life after she LITERALLY TRIED TO KILL YOU either convinced her that we’re someone worth trusting and protecting or at the very least following. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if she has hidden feelings for the Doctor after everything, we basically gave her a new life. In that regard, I think it’s funny how both Senomy and Centaurea seem to be mirrors of each other. Neither of them chose their lives, until the doctor comes along and gives them that freedom. It’s actually pretty funny, given that Gravel HATES the fact that we just let Platinum onboard.
Honestly, after going through the Kazimierz Major events, I'm not surprised that Platinum tried to threaten the medical staff into changing her chest size in the records. Trying to murder people who even slightly annoy you seems to just be how they do things in Kazimierz.

In the side story on her archive file, she does literally dream about being held by you and wanting to take an extended vacation with just you. I feel like if she didn't have any feelings for doc, she would 't be dreaming of stuff like that.
Platinum, definitely has some feelings or interest for the Doctor. Sure at the end of the Near Light event, where she just recently joined Rhodes it's not really developed I'd say, it's more a sort of curiosity at that point, since the Doctor basically 5headed his assassination attempt and that left Platinum in the moment and probably after too, very perplexed. She never had a case where her target was able to get out just by playing the politics game and do it so efficiently that if she would have acted rash, she could have gotten into a lot of trouble actually. Later on from her Trust files tho, we can definitely see that she developed some feelings for the Doctor, she keeps asking us out for a date or vacation together or just to go on a walk or shopping. The reason for those feelings could be multiple things, the Doctor out smarting the Armorless in Kazimierz, the Doctor saving her from the Armorless or her just seeing how much he cares for everyone at Rhodes and doesn't judge people due to their backgrounds etc. but she definitely does have some feelings for the Doctor NOW.
I think to Platinum, Rhodes is just another typical workplace, an acceptable one, but if she could resign from the AU, she could do just about at any workplace. Us, the Doctor on the other hand, might have became a solace and comfort for her as seen in her operator’s records. Rhodes is not special to her, it is just where she works, we however, are what is special to her.
As doktah who love Platinum, this Nearl Light event lore just makes me like her even more, not to mention her actions at Nearl 3D video, I hope there will be 3rd Kazimierz event arc. (Platinum Alter when)
I would definitely expect the story to put her in the same shoes as the previous platinum, as some kinda ironic fate, since she was trained at their hand and was their student. She tells the doctor when she gets rescued that she is still the Platinum and that she's still part of the armorless union. Meaning that one day, she might get orders from Darksteel to assassinate the Doctor. If that happens in the future, it'll be a really interesting test of her loyalty. Although we see Darksteel promising that they won't target RI in their conversation with Mlynar. So that probably won't be happening any time soon. And concerning her feelings for the doctor, at this point she is clearly "interested" in the doctor, whatever that interest means or develops into. Her Paradox simulation story show describes the doctor as a "person she's interested in", and she even asks the doctor if her wants to come with her on her vacation. When Hibiscus was carrying her away from the battle, she looks back at the doctor, and thinks of him as her savior. So yeah, if they decide to write another chapter in the Kazimierz saga in the future, I expect she'll be given orders to kill the doctor, but she won't be able to do it because of how she sees the doctor at that point.

However, if the darksteel ever seek her out, maybe try and exploit her position in RI, they could very well do so. There’s also the possibility (from RI’s perspective) that her escape from AU was just an act to get her close to the doctor, hence why Gravel still doesn’t trust her.
I think the Union will have more stuff to deal with since after NL the Adeptus occipued the city they operate in so the power balance between the Adeptus and the KGCC is prolly something they are more concerned/busy with than just Platinum running away. And since RI has allies in many places, going after them to just get Platinum also means picking a fight with all their allies, one of which is literally their next door neighbor, the Adeptus.
You gotta also remember how the last platinum died, he was killed because he fell in love with his target, and was killed by a darksteel arrow which is a horrible way to go, platinum acts as if she doesn't care about it at all but she definitely does, in fact it happens to her in the end catching the feels for you, whether that is as family or lover is still yet to be seen
Dunno if "LOVE" is the correct wording, but in Gravel's archives, there's some hints here and there about her being a little bit head-over-heels for the doctor - While it says in the Archive 2 that 'everyone know why Gravel is sticking around' jokingly, Archive #4 states and I quote: "To Gravel, however, divulging her real name to someone she trusts carries a very special meaning - that she is sharing her 'chattel' identity and her knight identity with that person. A privilege even the Kazimierz family that endowed her with knighthood has NOT YET enjoyed". But in her trust tap she says to the Doctor "I, Gravel - I mean, Senomy, shall serve you always at your side". When watching the "Past in Dreams" Operator Records, where she is having a quick nap in the Doctor's office and they both share a quick interaction, she says that she feels that she finally found 'her calling', being staying by your side forever, and that her eyes are only for you... ...So I think it's safe to assume that Gravel has some sort of 'love' towards the Doctor.
While the story is more complex, I like to summarise the end of the event for those two characters like this: Your flirty assigned bodyguard leave her organisation with blooming feelings for you because you freed her from servitude to her master and order. It is also implied that it is one of the first time someone asked her to make a choice for herself (is Dokutah and RI cause worth dying for? If yes don’t sacrifice and keep living for both) The cold assassin assigned to kill you leave her organisation with blooming feelings for you because you saved her life and free her from organisation. You help her to deal with her past choice to become the new Platinum after her predecessor death and she’s impressed by how the Dohutah and RI fight for a ”noble cause” (protect everyone in dire need even old ennemies) compared to the profit oriented Union. Maybe over thinking it but I like the parallel between those two. I never really liked Gravel before because of her flirty side, now she’s one of my fav for her potential growth. I don’t think the feelings of Gravel and Platinum are more than temporary crush tho, while the potential waifu fanservice can be nice I tend to believe that one of the only thing in common between old and new Dokutah is their drive for RI objective and protect Amiya.
Btw, random suggestion. Since you like cooking, there is an Arknights recipe in the new "Rhodes Kitchen" Manga. (and hopefully there are more in the future too). I think it would be fun if you'd cook it and talk about it (maybe even on the rate up podcast). You can replace the weird meat with its earth counterpart f.E fowl beast probably being chicken. Roberta is more of an inference on my part based on why she chose Rhodes Island being a Wrackwood party where she sorta fell for us.

On the other hand for gravel I wasn't beliving in Qaiser theory from the start but after the event I started distrusting her a bit in that regard simply because in her first talk with Grand knight she was saying that she might have earned their trust so most propably all she put on when they met for the first time was just an act to get closer to the doktah, at least in the beggining She ain't a theat, but her expressions at least on the first contact weren't honest
Personally, I doubt the whole thing in Kazimierz is over. We do need to get Nearl and Co. aboard, so I guess that part of the story will be touched upon in another event. Or they could arrive at Victoria, Rohan style.
I would say gravel loves the dokuta, just not necessarily in a romantic way If I understood her files correctly, the dokuta is one of, if not the only one she trusted enough to give her real name, the dokuta is one of the few people she got that close to She may not love the dokuta, but she definately feels something, found family maybe?
Its an arrow, it just has straps of fabric strapped to it. Its a way to know which arrows are yours. With her skill two she also coats the arrows in arts similar to a black lightning.

I'm so glad Near Light has finally cleared up so much stuff, the Maria Nearl event just sort of left a lot of things unanswered.
Well duh... Its 1/3 of the whole event .. of course its gonna leave lots of things unanswered cause it was only 1/3rd of the whole story
We didn't exactly get told that NL was a thing when MN ended, it just sort of ended on a whimper without any closure for a whole year.

Meaning that one day, she might get orders from Darksteel to assassinate the Doctor. If that happens in the future, it'll be a really interesting test of her loyalty. Although we see Darksteel promising that they won't target RI in their conversation with Mlynar. So that probably won't be happening any time soon.
And concerning her feelings for the doctor, at this point she is clearly "interested" in the doctor, whatever that interest means or develops into. Her Paradox simulation story show describes the doctor as a "person she's interested in", and she even asks the doctor if her wants to come with her on her vacation. When Hibiscus was carrying her away from the battle, she looks back at the doctor, and thinks of him as her savior.
So yeah, if they decide to write another chapter in the Kazimierz saga in the future, I expect she'll be given orders to kill the doctor, but she won't be able to do it because of how she sees the doctor at that point.
How is she still part of the union when they essentially tried to kill/capture her?
@@kosmosXcannon The position of platinum is still hers, as no one filled it in. Monique said herself that the AU is no longer in need of a platinum. However, if the darksteel ever seek her out, maybe try and exploit her position in RI, they could very well do so. There’s also the possibility (from RI’s perspective) that her escape from AU was just an act to get her close to the doctor, hence why Gravel still doesn’t trust her.
Platinum definitely wants to leave everything behind her, the question now being if the Union will let her.
I think the Union will have more stuff to deal with since after NL the Adeptus occipued the city they operate in so the power balance between the Adeptus and the KGCC is prolly something they are more concerned/busy with than just Platinum running away.
And since RI has allies in many places, going after them to just get Platinum also means picking a fight with all their allies, one of which is literally their next door neighbor, the Adeptus.

You gotta also remember how the last platinum died, he was killed because he fell in love with his target, and was killed by a darksteel arrow which is a horrible way to go, platinum acts as if she doesn't care about it at all but she definitely does, in fact it happens to her in the end catching the feels for you, whether that is as family or lover is still yet to be seen

Dunno if "LOVE" is the correct wording, but in Gravel's archives, there's some hints here and there about her being a little bit head-over-heels for the doctor - While it says in the Archive 2 that 'everyone know why Gravel is sticking around' jokingly, Archive #4 states and I quote: "To Gravel, however, divulging her real name to someone she trusts carries a very special meaning - that she is sharing her 'chattel' identity and her knight identity with that person. A privilege even the Kazimierz family that endowed her with knighthood has NOT YET enjoyed".
But in her trust tap she says to the Doctor "I, Gravel - I mean, Senomy, shall serve you always at your side".
When watching the "Past in Dreams" Operator Records, where she is having a quick nap in the Doctor's office and they both share a quick interaction, she says that she feels that she finally found 'her calling', being staying by your side forever, and that her eyes are only for you...
...So I think it's safe to assume that Gravel has some sort of 'love' towards the Doctor.

While the story is more complex, I like to summarise the end of the event for those two characters like this:
Your flirty assigned bodyguard leave her organisation with blooming feelings for you because you freed her from servitude to her master and order. It is also implied that it is one of the first time someone asked her to make a choice for herself (is Dokutah and RI cause worth dying for? If yes don’t sacrifice and keep living for both)
The cold assassin assigned to kill you leave her organisation with blooming feelings for you because you saved her life and free her from organisation. You help her to deal with her past choice to become the new Platinum after her predecessor death and she’s impressed by how the Dohutah and RI fight for a ”noble cause” (protect everyone in dire need even old ennemies) compared to the profit oriented Union.
Maybe over thinking it but I like the parallel between those two. I never really liked Gravel before because of her flirty side, now she’s one of my fav for her potential growth. I don’t think the feelings of Gravel and Platinum are more than temporary crush tho, while the potential waifu fanservice can be nice I tend to believe that one of the only thing in common between old and new Dokutah is their drive for RI objective and protect Amiya.
Btw, random suggestion. Since you like cooking, there is an Arknights recipe in the new "Rhodes Kitchen" Manga. (and hopefully there are more in the future too). I think it would be fun if you'd cook it and talk about it (maybe even on the rate up podcast). You can replace the weird meat with its earth counterpart f.E fowl beast probably being chicken. But we do Netflix and chill with Ambriel, per her max trust line and I'm guessing that implies at least some feelings. Roberta is more of an inference on my part based on why she chose Rhodes Island being a Wrackwood party where she sorta fell for us.
