Did you know that if there is an High top 6 forward in the draft, It can be an Elite, Top 6 or Top 9. It can only throw off by 1. If its Medium it can throw off by 2. If its low it can throw off by 3. If its exact it’s going to be the same as the potential is in the draft. Same with d-man but with d-man potentials. I’m not absolutely sure about this but I think that’s how it goes. And if my English is not correct, its my secondary language.
I don't know if you already know how drafting works in NHL 18, so this comment could be pointless. You always want to take low top 9 forwards or low top 6 defensemen in the later rounds. The reason is that if your scouts say their potential is low that means their potential can jump up or two tiers. So low top 9 could be elite or ahl top 6. High they can only jump one tier, medium two. It's worth it to use all picks below the second round to get that one or two low elite than to get a few top 9/top 6 guys.
Good point. Low also means they can drop 2, but I agree it's worth the risk!

TacTixHD yea living in buffalo as a hockey fan has been tough the past couple of years, we always say next year will be great but it never happens. We thought we would come pretty close to the playoffs this year but I guess we were wrong by a mile

How do you play Franchise Mode with created players? What do the settings have to be to get them in? My game won't seem to upload them into Franchise mode.
Make a created player, but don't assign them to a team. They should show up in the draft. If you do more than one, you may want to spread them out over different years, or give them different birth dates so they don't all come out in the same draft.

Hockey Talk talent wise, I don’t think anyone can deny Buffalo. Organizational wise, it was a complete mess & seems to just now be settled, so I guess time will tell. I do like Botterill though. We’ll see.
