Excellent video like usual, but one little detail about the replacement a new digitizer: you need a double adhesive foam tape to hold the LCD or else it will move around in the case. It just happened to me today after resassembling the whole thing.
@@sthetixofficiali’m having an enormous problem with my switch. Every time I turn it on it shows vertical lines that it turned or a black screen. And now when I turn it on it just shows the black screen. It still works still makes sound but it’s just the black screen please give me some info on how to fix this problem please
For those wondering, this is caused due to the main flex cable being damaged. It inputs the signal to the display from the motherboard. This is not something you can fix since the cable is the main display cable hardwired to the glass. Unless you have a professional lab to micro solder, it’s cheaper to get a $30 replacement.
@@amielsantillano6173 No, it happens due to too much humidity in the room. The cables are prone to corrode overtime. Eventually they short and it starts acting up.
@@amielsantillano6173 Sometimes cleaning the connection wires at the tip with alcohol and the socket will resolve this. Only if that part was the only part to corrode. There is a chance that the corrosion spread further into the wires. Best to clean them sooner than later. The other issue is cleaning them without moving the cable too much. The copper inside is too thin and weak and will break easily.
I wonder what is the issue why this happens. Mine is always docked and rarely used. I was so surprised when i took it out to clean and saw the lines. It ruined my day because i never mishandled it, never dropped, not even a scratch.
Great Video. I have a question tho. Is it necesessary to remove the whole board? I can see that somewhere on the process it revealed the lcd cable already, I am scared to remove the whole board since I jb soldered switch.
Excellent video, IPA is isopropyl alcohol? I have a big stain on the LCD screen, and my touch screen is very scratched, do you recommend I buy a specific LCD+ touch kit? I have seen many in ALiEX and even some say that they are improved versions
will this fix a red/blue line on the LCD? it showed up one day and i'm not sure if it's because of the battery swelling or just the LCD somehow going bad. I don't remember it happening. it just showed up one day.
Is it really necessary to open the motherboard? You can just disconnect the lcd cable and open the digitizer without opening the motherboard which is way more safe (?)

@@GamingTechReview can you tell me how to prevent it without opening the switch? I don't want to break something.

Greetings from Germany!
What would be some of the causes for these horizontal lines appearing would you say?
I don't know
Random i never dropped my switch and my whole screen has like black lines and ghosting of old pixles
That especific horizontal lines it's caused by the reflection of a very strong light for a long time at the screen. (for example, the sun light)
Nintendo use cheap parts
Bro nintendo is one of the companies using trusted parts with security feature

if it is not permanent, then dont worry about it. but if it is something like in this video, you need to replace it.
Can you install an OLED screen into a V1 V2 switch?
No
@@sthetixofficial why?
The technology is different, the size is different and the socket (screen connector) is different.
My switch is exactly like this on the video. Is it necessary to replace the LCD even though it is working fine? or will it get my switch worse?
of course not. don't fix anything if it is working
Many cases occur on the nintendo switch lite
I agree

Friend Nintendo switch depends on the touch screen to give an image on the screen? I want to test only the display before mounting
it does not
Hii, should I backup the files and data before replacing the screen or the data won't be deleted??
it doesnt matter because it doesnt affect the data at all

did you miss adding the internal adhesive between the digitisier and lcd?
no i didn't. if it is still sticky I don't need to use a new one

it does not
there seems to be a ribbon cable dangling on the touch screen, does that cable not inserted anywhere?
It is inserted to the game card slot bro
is it ok to use blower if I can't manage to remove the digitizer screen?
you can but you better use IPA, as it is far easier than using heat.

Cannot.

no it doesnt

yes
will the issue still come back even if i replace it with a new lcd?
yep

yes on the switch lite. but not on the regular switch.
