Walking in STRALSUND / Germany 🇩🇪- 4K 60fps (UHD)

Stralsund / Germany is a town of round 60,000 people in north-eastern Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state. Stralsund was became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002 for its Gothic town centre and colourful houses - just like Wismar that we also visited here on POPtravel ( • Walking in WISMAR / Ge... ).
We begin our walking tour of Stralsund at the gothic St. Mary's Church (Marienkirche) and see the city center with its shopping streets. As we get to the town hall (Rathaus) we see the market square on our way to the marina.
There along the sea many people are enjoying a stroll on this windy and cloudy day. The Gorch Fock I is a German three-mast barque which is there to visit. From Stralsund it's also possible to visit the island of Rügen.
We continue our tour along the waterfront northwards before we head back to the city center for more impressions of Stralsund with its old town.
At last we head towards the train station where we end our walking tour of Stralsund.

Stralsund Old Town is well known across (northern) Germany and it's worth to visit this baltic gem anytime! I personally love the market square! 😁😁

My ancestors are most likely from this town in Germany. They moved to Wisconsin in the 1840s possibly. I do badly want to travel these streets!

Sehr zu schön dass auch anderen Stralsund Gefallen tun in meiner Hinsicht hast du eine wichtige Sache vergessen und zwar das Denkmal von Ferdinand von Schill bei 37:34 hinter dem Tor wenn man am Theater vorbeigeht 10 m danach kommt und da ist ein riesiger Garten da steht ein Denkmal das Tor und das Denkmal haben zusammen eine Verknüpfung

You see that lady @ 4:06 and that man (with the white cap) @ 4:39 glaring at the camera person? Had every other person glare at my wife and I when visiting Luebeck some years ago. Is this common in this part of Germany? Found it very unsettling and felt like we were not welcome as visitors.

The people from North Germany can seem a little cold at first yes. Also in parts where there is a lot of tourism, like the baltic coast, they may seem annoyed sometimes because of the tourists. But definitely most of them are very kind and welcoming people, that are not as cold as they appear at first but actually really nice.
I live in this area and thats just what I can tell you from my personal experience :)
