Thank you so much for this video as it has special meaning to me. I was born in Bamberg many years ago, but lived most of my life in America. Two weeks from now I will be taking a Sprachkurz in Strullendorf and spend all my free time near where we lived, just a few blocks from the alte Rathaus.
I was born in Bamberg as well. Also the son of an American GI. We visited German friends there many times in the 1980s. Not so many tourists back then. Beautiful city! 16:15
@@michaelmaniscalco857 Thank you for the reply Michael. Just wondering, since you went back during the 80's, when were you born and how long did you live there? We also visited Germany 3 times in the 80's. This time I noticed a lot has changed. Are you fluent in German? If you're interested perhaps we can visit more via email. FYI, my first name is Helmut.. dad through in the name Wayne, just in case I became Americanized :)
Germany, especially Berlin, is a country with stunning beauty. Can't wait to revisit and discover more of this amazing place. Thanks for sharing the video!
Like 32 👍 Hello from Naples, Florida. An awesome walk around a very beautiful city, Bamberg. Love the streets and the architecture. Thank you so much for sharing this part of the world with us.
Hello dear, I'm working on a project based partly in the city of Bamberg, and although I've checked all the niches on the internet, I haven't been able to find any reference to the inside of the bell towers; I was wondering if you could tell me what the mechanism is like to climb the towers, ie. divided into a numver of chanvers, an entire flight of stairs all the way up, or do you know how someone gets up there? I really appreciate any help you can give me, have a great day! The best…❤

Couldn't help but notice a dearth of fit young German girls seen in this tour; instead there is a rather glut of middle aged men walking around looking like tourists in cargo shorts. 😒
I am german. The most german people are not so elegant like the french or italian people. I am living in Hamburg. Its a little bit different like in Bamberg. Many greets

You must be the child of a Bamberg GI?

Honestly, I have come across so many videos from Bamberg, but this is by far out the sharpest, most detailed one. I am glad I found it. ❤Thank you!

Na, haben wir da nicht Rothenburg o.d. Tauber vergessen.

Es gibt schon noch einige schönere Städte, aber Bamberg ist sicher bei den Top Ten.

Has Bamberg evacuated it's child bearing aged people, for some reason? It's like a spooky episode of the Twilight Zone.
