      To add, according to Alain Prost was also careless in his early years but learned to pace himself and drive fast and learn the track and to gain seconds at the corners and stay humble off the track.
      This is why they call him the professor. I believe Senna mentor , his motivator or God was Alain Prost.
      After Prost retired Senna was unmotivated and lost
      Reality kicked in that the NexGen of drivers like
      Schumacher hill Coulthard Mika hakkenen were young and fierce and unforgiving.

  • @adamrobinette6832

    By this time Senna and Prost simply despised each other by that point. Prost was his teammate and got him disqualified the year before when they had the collision, but Senna got his car back on the track by driving around the cones. Prost caused the accident trying to keep him from finishing, then when that didn't work, went and literally used a technicality that no one else would have protested to get him disqualified, so he'd be out of the championship. Prost deserved every bit of this one, and that's why Senna was so completely blatant about it. It was so interesting though to realize that Prost maybe did not like the person, but clearly had unbelievable respect for him as a skilled driver and competitor. It showed when he took over Senna's charitable foundation after his death.

  • @jonathansantos8555
    @jonathansantos8555 2 ปีที่แล้ว +274

    Well in his defense senna did start a trend at winning championship in extreme manners. Most likely the same thing will happen in 2021 abu dhabi hamilton vs verstappen.
    Either come with a plan or leave in defeat.

    • @grafgra4
      @grafgra4 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Or live in defeat... Hope they both live if Max decides to take Lewis out of the race. That makes me wonder, how bad missing the first race of the next season would be? Because he’s 100% getting 5 or more for this and he already has 7. Would he even be allowed to have that title or Masi’s got MB and Lewis? What would happen if he is to gain even more penalty points?

    • @jonathansantos8555
      @jonathansantos8555 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@grafgra4 well in my personal opinion the FIA has displayed some what a weakness at putting the hammer down, across the whole season most penalties have come on the grounds of a racing incident, even when there has been a clear showing of aggressiveness and possibly ill intent as well from the offending party at triggering the incident. Remember the senna vs prost incident, the fia did nothing, the schumacher and villaneuve on the other hand schumacher really did dare at testing the fia's hand and he got caught, but since then across the many seasons and many accidents the outcome has been mostly a question of trial and error and how luck you are at mitigation your wrong doing. It is like working your way around to manipulate the rules in your favor, penalties these days 5 second or license points only brushes off the real problem, it is likely committing all sort of offences that is classed as Misdemeanor, as you guys would call in America( at least i hope your are from the US) and always being penalised at the same equivalency as getting a parking ticket. It is worth the crime because really the penalty rather than punishing, it actually just motivates you to keep recurring the same offence time and time again. Hope i am getting my point across. Stay safe. Be good.

      Highly doubt it, Adu Dhabi turn 1 is too sharp, the two drivers would be going too slow to make it look like an accident. Max may be highly aggressive (which I do not blame him this year for, he's on the verge of dethroning Hamilton in a less superior car) but he also isn't stupid, and he certainly isn't stupid enough to think he can get away with intentionally ramming Hamilton off the road, Jeddah was an accident that was the FIA's fault

Anyone who thinks he's just going to "forget" to turn into the first corner at Yas Marina clearly has something wrong with them because I don't think there's ever been a driver who has gone to a race with the intent to just slam into someone and knock them out. The title was in the balance between Prost (French) and Senna (Brazilian) but Jean-Marie Balestre was the President of the FIA at the time, and was at the race and he refused Senna the right to chose which side of the track for pole. Senna saw that as political interference and decided before the race to neutralise Balestre’ attempt to influence the destination of the world championship. Balestre simply told them that neither they, nor he himself, had the authority to change it. It was a very straightforward thing.
