It has been years since I’ve seen you on my notifications list. But this video strikes a chord with me. Sleeves really depend on your taste. If you have been using a particular brand and liked them, then there’s a chance that you would stick to that particular type of sleeves. When you’re just starting out, the first thing I would recommend is shuffling a friend’s deck. It costs nothing on your end and you can ask what they’re using. If you’re the first person you know to get interested, then follow a guideline. If you’re on a budget, try some solid color sleeves, as most official tournaments will accept them (Clear sleeves are typically ostracized for having an easier time marking cards). Make sure you have the right fit for the card, or else it’s not gonna look right. So for example, if you’re looking to sleeve a Weiß Schwarz deck (More generally known as Poker Size in the gambling community), then you are looking for Standard size (91x66 mm, but Americans will typically say that you’re gonna need ~1/16th of an inch worth of clearance on Poker Size). If you’re looking for Vanguard size (Bridge Size), then you are looking for Small/Mini/Japanese size depending on brands (89x62 mm, or about 1/16th of an inch worth of clearance for Bridge Size). If you’re looking for anime sleeves, just remember that you’re likely to require some sleeve protection. This video covers that aspect.
CardOtakuDesu It’s fine. You’re only human after all. And tournament requirements can vary from game to game, but all of them require some baseline to follow.
I’ve been using the Z sleeves ones. That sleeves will last you ages to come even with heavy play. I triple sleeved my MtG (Legacy) deck with Z sleeves. But since use sealable inner sleeves. So it kinda feels like I’m using 3.5 sleeves. But Z sleeves I don’t think you’ll ever have to replace. You just have to get used to how it shuffles as they’re not matte.
could I get the mini sleeves that you were talking about? I would like to triple sleeve my vanguard cards and would like to get the same sleeve you use
I love the Yanoman Character Guard Z sleeves you showed. Sure, they're really hard and sharp, but it basically turns my deck into a massive Hanafuda deck and I can slap cards down like an anime character lmao
Just what I was looking for, not gonna use them in big tournaments because pokémon is kinda strict with that but for locals and casual play I'm finally gonna use my Chizuru sleeves
I bought them at my locals when they first came out. Don't think you'll be able to find them easily anymore because they came out over 10 years ago. Yes they are for standard size cards.
Those bushiroad super hard sleeves, do they shuffle well? do they bubble outwards? im kinda inderested in getting a pack to see how they feel overall but they seem hard to obtain.
They don't bubble outward if you put them in a tight deck box to squeeze out all the air. Just need to keep it in there for a day or two. They shuffle quite well, but watch out for paper cuts lol.
I bought the Broccoli Outer Sleeves and they are fantastic, really happy with them. Next time I want to try the Overguard Z Sleeves, but want I want to ask you, would you recommend to triple Sleeve Digimon Cards, if yes, is „KMC perfect fit“ a good choice? You need small size character sleeves if you want a perfect fit or if you want to use standard size sleeves you can use the sleeves I’m currently selling to fill it out. If you’re using mini character sleeves you can buy S size broccoli and if you’re using standard size then you can use M Size oversleeves.

The Brococolis are a little too short, and the bushiroad sleeves stick out a bit. I don't think it's enough to damage the sleeve, but yeah, we'll see. Any other sleeve brand should be fine
Oh wow! Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I haven't used Bushiroad official sleeves in so long that I never actually noticed that they were longer than most other sleeves :OOOO That's definitely a mistake on my part! I'll make sure to clarify this in any future videos.
@@CardOtakuDesu Yep! Also the cheaper UG sleeves are alright to use with the broccolis. Thanks for all the sleeve vids and digica vids btw! keep it up
I've had trouble double sleeving broccoli character sleeves (Standard size) with Broccoli outer sleeves (BSP-02) is this common? had similar issue using Yanoman and Bushiroad
@@CardOtakuDesu Thanks for the reply, love your content! Yeah seems to be the case, the character sleeves i'm using are supposedly 67mm x 92mm and the BSP-02 are 68mm x 93mm so at first chalked it up to a tight fit since the sleeves went in after a bit of finesse but seemed to have like a crinkle (?) from being packed tightly. I went ahead and got the Bushiroads which are 94mm x 69mm thinking it would be a better fit for them and ran into the same issue, actually the sleeve doesn't fully go into the outer sleeve if I do open ends towards each other. I had the same issue using the Overguard Z but those suckers are so sturdy I didn't even try to get the sleeve further in for fear of damaging them lol.
