Yeah. Was surprised to see that on the list, and now can't stop listening to it. The music Kenji did for Prime was so ambient that you almost forget it's a score. It's like the various environments in the game are generating the sound. Worked so well. Best game on Gamecube, in my opinion.
DDD takes some getting used to, but it's become one of my favorites. It's also, oddly enough, one of the quickest to clear. The Red Coin+100 Coin level is really the only one that takes any significant time. My favorite will always be Tall Tall Mountain. LOVE that stage.
Lovely, needed this right now Edit: I love how you didn't just pick relaxing songs but actually play like, extra soothingly if that makes sense. And the organ sneaks in smooth as butter, so pretty!
What a sweet story about the organ. May its previous owner's memory be a blessing, and carry forward in the work that is done on the instrument. Thank you for your art.
Huh. I did not expect a Donkey Kong Country game to have such pretty music. Also, the nostalgia from the Dragon Quest VIII track was a lot stronger than I expected.
I just watched this video and had a great time, I enjoyed everything but specially Phendrana, Kakariko, Dire dire docks and Quiet village. This is a sick track selection and you nailed it. Thanks for the great work. I’ll continue to follow and enjoy this channel.
Literally have fallen asleep to your chronotrigger video countless times, i think this will be my new go to. Great mix of great games and beautifully played songs! Thanks for the music!
Kara, I don't know if you enjoy this kind of story, and if not, I understand. Recently, I experienced a psychedelic voyage, and I was looking for some music to anchor my experience. I came upon this recording and began to listen. Some very traumatic memories about a very close friend came to mind. Someone I love very deeply had been seriously harmed and traumatized by someone she had every reason to believe loved her and she trusted them. It may sound silly from a "sober" point of view, but I felt moved to talk out loud about my friend and how much I love her and how badly she was hurt and how unfair that was, and as I spoke over the music, I felt as if I was having a conversation with you. I felt as if you listened attentively to every word I said as I sobbed thru every sentence telling of my special friend and the trauma she endured, and then you responded with beautiful runs of piano notes and organ drones, as if you understood, and you cared, and you responded with messages of love and healing. At the end, I told my "trip-sitter" that had I never before in my life experienced such a joyful catharsis. Just now, I am reading the description of your video about how you received this instrument from a friend who passed away, and I hope that it pleases you and honors the memory of your friend when I tell you that your art became an integral part of a healing journey I experienced. Edit: fixed typos
@@FlowingRiver-gt6hx thank you for sharing this. Maybe you connected with it so well because I also went through something very traumatic in the same with my own sister, who I haven’t had contact with for two years. So very lovely to hear all this.. I came here from your FF1 score, which is very dear to me from my childhood.
