    The safety thrid joke was a real crowd pleaser. A real knee slapper. I spilled my drink.

    Thanks Trailman always wanted to do this and you provided good tips and suggestions. That white Runner is hot.

    Just a comment on the thumbnail: the snake shown is not a viper but some generic elapid (cobra, mamba, taipan, etc). Nitpicking you say? Maybe so, but lack of attention to detail makes you question what else Viper may have gotten wrong. Cheers

    Nice viper cut. What size tires were on that blue 4Runner?

    This looks great, awesome job. Curious if it affected your MPGs?

      I have not noticed any change in good or bad. Neither has my friend that is lifted on 34s.

    What would you use to trim the cut edge ?
    What type of tool did you find worked best to make the cuts? Fixed speed or Variable

    • @timthetrailman4563
      @timthetrailman4563  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      With the air saw you can vary the speed with the trigger. An electric tool you might want a variable speed for best control. Best advice is to practice multiple times with the tool you own.

    how far down did you measure?

    • @timthetrailman4563
      @timthetrailman4563  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Between 5 to 6 inches from the front of the fender molding. My goal was to leave both screws at the top in place. That would better secure the fender liner. If I went with the more aggressive cut I would only have the top screw left.

  • @GarrettHunter8
    @GarrettHunter8 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    At 4:55 what is the black liner wrapped along the edge of the cut?

    I saw you using a measuring tape, what measurement were they?

    • @timthetrailman4563
      @timthetrailman4563  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ooof!! Let me get home and measure for you. Are you asking for from the wheel arch to where the top of the cut ends?

    • @kevinkossmann341
      @kevinkossmann341 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I need these measurements

    • @kevinkossmann341
      @kevinkossmann341 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also did you cut on the top side of the hump or the bottom side of the hump. On the white runner.

    • @timthetrailman4563
      @timthetrailman4563  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My apologies. I totally forgot to do this for you. The measurements is 6" down from the bottom of the fender to where the cut stops at the top. Or about 1" below the second screw down on the bumper cover. I can send pics on IG to help. Timthetrailman on there

    • @timthetrailman4563
      @timthetrailman4563  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kevinkossmann341 not sure what hump you are talking about. They both got cut at the same spot. About 6" down from the bottom of the fender where the cut ends or about 1" below the second screw on the bumper cover. Feel free to message me on IG for some pics. Timthetrailman on there too

    To me cutting up a nice vehicle like that is the same like putting a nasty tat on your forearm, no thanks
