@@CarrieJerry - they don't owe R+L money, that's not how these things work. Mythical acquired 100% of Smosh a few years ago. Last month, Ian and Anthony bought back the majority of Smosh. So Ian and Anthony own the majority, while Mythical still owns a small percentage (the exact numbers haven't been disclosed, obv).

@yandj5918 I watched it cos of smosh. Wouldn't watch if it hadn't been vegan. Also there are plenty of vegetarian and vegan cooking channels. I come from a country where 80% of the people I grew up with never saw meat for most of our lives. Cultures are different :)

To be fair, that's not a general cooking technique, it's something you do when you're making sushi or sushi-adjacent things (like what Josh made). I cook a lot, but because I have never made sushi, I wouldn't have known about it if it weren't for all the videos I watch.

The reason to chop up the shrooms is so you get more flavor infused into them before blending them. Mushrooms have so much water in them, if you cook them whole, it retains too much of the water. If you dice them up, you can then get some maillard reaction aka flavor bomb with them.

Nicole, I made a vegan haggis once. 12 kinds of Mushrooms, rye, oats, barley and a bunch of other stuff. It was awesome! Made it for "Mary, Queen of Scots" at a Scottish Ren Fair event. The actress was vegan IRL, and the bit was simply she was going to eat it. The who crowd knew she was vegan IRL, and when she started eating it and tossing back shots of "Scotch" (Chardonnay) the crowd just looked stunned. It was a glorious bit!
