I'm pleased for you. Glad it was worth the wait. I was very touched by the Worzel Gummidge tribute memorial by the fence and the fact that the fence still clearly reads Ten Acre Fields!

Fantastic! I'm making the trip from County Durham tomorrow to see this magnificent location! Worzel was a huge part of my childhood and captured the magic of youth! I'm going to just sit here for about 3 hours and reminisce, and think about the happier times in my life! I also have a little message from my 10 year old self for Worzel.

Have a look around in the corner of the field by the fence, we left the cross post there after filming Scatterbrook Days and it may still be around. All the best for your visit!

@@iancaldicott7210 I watched that just the other day. What a brilliant little short! The folorn look on Jon's face was probably very real for Jeremy. He must have had such a great time filming there as a kid. And calling his daughter Charlotte.....what a touch!

@@iancaldicott7210 well a 600 mile round trip was worth every mile! A hugely nostalgic visit for me. Spent some time sitting on Worzel's fence reminiscing! Left my tribute. Oh I did see the cross pole! (I can't help thinking a certain props designer from Scatterbrook Days may have been the Worzel at the end)??
Magical place. I do hope you can finance another short film!

Wow that's quite a journey, a very dedicated fan!
Glad the pole is still there and yes, I did play Worzel. I have some photos and footage I plan to edit into a making of video with a friend.
Thanks for updating about your trip!

A great video, well done. I went there in 2006, and even then the little copse was overgrown. Noticed the "horizontal" line of trees in the centre had gone, but the landscape's hardly changed otherwise. Beautiful place.

At the end of the video shows the entrance to the style and field as I remember it when I worked on the estate that owned the field in the mid eighties, was cutting back branches one day and backed the tractor and trailer in the entrance and knocked over the style 🤦🏼‍♂️ luckily the crow man was not around! 😁
