I have a series 9 but bought it after Jan, wish I'd known. My 9 is packed away on charge. Need and want oxygen sensor. Now have two 8's that I rotate. Won't buy new until 2028. So few watch reviewers are mentioning this subject. THANK YOU.
I purchased my Apple Watch Ultra 2 on January 1, 2024 and it had the blood oxygen on it and after the update it is still on it matter-of-fact I just did a test with the blood oxygen and it still on and still working as of today, so I’m not sure of when they actually banded
I wish I could have that feature. That was the whole point of buying a newer one. The app is there but it says unavailable. I just got mines a week ago 😢
Hi Thanks from cairo Egypt I have watch 9 iphon 15 Oxygen app deos not work now Will it be working later on after updating for EX OR will not working at all Thanks again
I believe this is a software limitation because I bought my ultra in September and didn't open it until now and I activated it in January and im getting the o2 app isn't avalible to me
So without the blood oxygen sensor on the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 they can be bought at stores again like Walmart, Target, or Best Buy in the U.S?
What about shipping from another country or state that is not affected by these rules changes as I’m in the uk and even with the us ban the uk is still unaffected
I have an apple watch 6 bought from december 2021 and i get the error with the watch for the BO sensor, i bought it refurbished this week; so shouldnt it still be working?
No need to upgrade unless you need the double the storage or the slightly brighter display from the already bright display of the ultra 1 Apple Watch. And especially now that the blood oxen on New models are not available then if you upgrade right now there’s no telling when it will come back.
I definitely would not upgrade AWU 1 TO AWU 2 if I brought the Apple Watch Ultra 1 I would have kept it the only reason I upgraded was because I skipped the ultra 1
I am thankful that you aired this information online. Apple has allowed the oxygen app to function on the IPhone 14 model(2024). Thank you Apple for permitting the oxygen app to work for people who are health conscious.👍

@@jasminemcdonald614 I’m sorry to hear that. I’m just not really sure of when it got banned.
Hi

It most likely is. So once the Apple Watch is activated that’s how it’s deactivated the app.
happened to me the same
Will you loose the oxygen sensor capability after updating 17.5.1? I bought my Apple Watch before the ban.
So why does your ultra 2 have it and mine don’t?
When did you purchase yours and also when did you activate it that may have something to do with it?
@@SunshineFL ya I researched it and any watch sold after January of 2024 does get a working o2 app.
Works here in Canada🤷♂️ series 9 purchased July 2024
It’s only in the United States
So without the blood oxygen sensor on the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 they can be bought at stores again like Walmart, Target, or Best Buy in the U.S?
Yes, they can be purchased brand new just won’t have access to blood oxygen app.
What about shipping from another country or state that is not affected by these rules changes as I’m in the uk and even with the us ban the uk is still unaffected
will the Apple Watch series 9 blood oxygen sensor will it work in the uk
Yes
I just bought mine as of March 12th 2024 and the blood oxygen sensor works. So I’m guessing mine was made before the ban.
Are you in the US? If you are outside the ban shouldn't affect you
@@Peizxcv In the USA baby!
@@Peizxcv that’s why I’m shocked my works. I got through mine through AT&T. Maybe they had some preban.
Does it say on the box or on the website if the sensor is available or not?
I bought mine this month and it still has the blood oxygen feature. I think they meant manufactured before that date.
You mean manufactured after that date, the complete opposite of your post

I have a Series 6, gifted to me in 2020, and the BO sensor works.
@@rhorodz7779 mine isnt activated, i bought it preowned on amazon but it is suppose to have it
Thanks 😎👍
Anytime 😁
model ends in LW/A - @1:32 , you want the LL/A
nvm i wasnt paying attention
I still have blood oxygen sensor on here n I not long brought my Apple Watch
Should I upgrade to the Ultra 2 from the Ultra 1 now? What's your opinion?

That's what I thought. What a shame! Gracias!!
