Had my ZT diesel from new, 15 years old, brilliant car, no engine problems, done thermostat mod, pcv mod, only expense, just had new rear suspension arms.

Very informative but I was straining my ears to try and listen to you as your car sounds very noisy inside the cab as the engine sounded pretty noisy and clunky to me.
As an aside, I have never seen anyone with a driving seat so much tilted as yours was, you looked not far off from lying horizontal. Thanks anyway.

His phone is mounted directly to the window, thats where all that noise is coming from.

She looks lovely on the outside as she is on the inside! All BWM's have this look today. Why is that??? Didn't You know? Regards Al...

A very useful video for a lovely car (I have a 2003 Diesel tourer so am a bit biased!) .

Looking at a 2003 2.0 diesel Tourer for my 25 year old son. He loves the retro look. But is it going to break the bank running it

@@almondgrove7580 Like any older car, they need looking after. The diesels go forever but its the rust to look out for - sills, rear arms etc but parts are a plenty. For the money, these cars are just wonderful!!

The internet is a village. I didn't expect to see you here, hehe.
I'm currently thinking about getting either a Jaguar X-Type or Rover 75. Totally loving the designs of both.

Nice car, never had one but always fancied one. You didn't say anything about the extreme road noise which made you a wee difficult to understand. Would expect a much quieter ride for such a big comfy luxury tank.

It was just my rubbish phone camera which was mounted to the window of the car and the road noise was being transferred directly through it. It's a fantastically quiet car, save for a bit of engine noise at motorway speeds on tje diesel.

Can’t hear you due to the road and wind noise.

This video is nearly 6 years old, the car is bean tins now and likely the camera too, so not to worry.

That is either an extremely noise car - or you were recording with one of the windows open ?

Phone was mounted directly to the window, I don't have any fancy gear.

I test drove a Rover 75 2005 2.5 litre V6 and the acceleration was not responsive.
I had to literally press hard with my foot on the accelerator to get speed pick up
of the car. Is this a common issue with this series model?

    • @split_pin
      @split_pin  ปีที่แล้ว +2

I'm not sure, could be a number of things such as a tired fuel pump, blocked fuel filter or sticking throttle body.

    • @thatsentertainment5602

@@split_pin Thanks for that I will test drive other Rover 75 and MGZT models.

@@thatsentertainment5602 I would also check the 75 and ZT owners club forum as there is bound to be something on there. I'm not too familiar with the petrol models, all mine have been diesel.

@@split_pin Thank you and I was informed by a Rover 75/MGZT mechanical service centre that the VIS motor would need to be fixed or replaced if there is weak throttle response when driving.
