    He's right. It's not just for slamming your vehicle. It is just as comfortable ( if not more) than stock. I can't believe more people don't go with airlift suspension. The diversity and convenience are amazing.
    I've daily driven my car for 2 winters and one summer with no air leaks and no issues. The only difference I've noticed is my ride height PSI (75) is higher in cold weather (86)
    However one thing I should mention. With adjustable suspension, you will want to get a lifetime alignment package if available locally. I get mine done approximately every 4 months for free.

      @blkeclipsel2400 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @Platinum Clothing A Ford Svt lightning truck ? Perhaps I should've mentioned that im merely providing a testimonial of my own personal experience with Airlift performance series.
      I can't speak for all air suspension brands or series and certainly not for 20 year old trucks. I'm speaking on what I personally own. A 2SS Camaro on 3H management and performance series bags.
      Do you have Airlift ? Does airlift even make a direct bolt on kit for your vehicle ? More specifically, are you driving on an airlift kit purposefully manufactured for your year, make, and model ? Or did you have to fabricate your truck for their universal kit ?
      Who installed it ? Are you on sleeved bags or double bellow ? Does your management allow you to change settings and store presets? Can you dial in your damping and adjust the camber ? Do you have height sensors?
      Perhaps it's these variables that allow me to experience a more comfortable ride in my sports car than you in your truck. Aside from factoring in the discrepancies of our vehicle size, weight, and age.

    Air bag kits are great in every way and yes if they are done right, they can last a life time, however compressing air cause moisture, moisture in the lines and valve can freeze in the winter. That's where problem can come from. So if you live in winter environments, one needs some kinda drier or have pure alcohol in the lines, like what big rigs need to have in there air lines

    • @tylerdoop
      @tylerdoop 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn’t even think about this. Thanks so much for the tip. I was contemplating air ride for my car but I don’t think it’s a good idea because of this

    • @blkeclipsel2400
      @blkeclipsel2400 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't know. I'm in Oklahoma and we get harsh winters here. My airlift suspension was just fine in 9-degree weather. I didn't put anything in my lines. However, I do keep my tank empty of any moisture.
      I installed an electric drain kit. So I wouldn't have to keep climbing over my back seats to purge water from my tank. The drain kit comes with an electronic release valve and hose that feeds through my trunk grommet that leads outside the vehicle. I simply press a button I installed under my dashboard to purge the water. I also installed a water trap/filter as an extra precaution. However, there's never any water in there when I go to drain it.
      I went this route because airlift support advised against putting any brake antifreeze or chemicals in the lines if my airlift manifold or water trap is inside the vehicle as the fumes can be dangerous.
      Also, a few guys in an airlift forum said injecting fluid in your lines can cause issues with the manifold like gunk build-up.
      The only difference I've noticed in cold weather is that my compressors take a little longer to fill my tank and my psi levels for my ride height are higher than in the summer.

    • @blkeclipsel2400
      @blkeclipsel2400 ปีที่แล้ว

      Something else I should mention. My hoses are all ran inside of my vehicle. Under my carpet and above dynamat. That could play a significant role as to why I don't experience frozen lines aside from conveniently keeping my system dry.

    I have watched a ton of videos about air ride before doing it and I was concerned about weather, ride quality, maintenance and tried to be as careful as possible with it when I got it.
    I gotta say my drive and handling quality went completely trash with it: it’s stiff and bouncy, I feel every single bump on the road and god forbid if it’s a little stronger of a bump… I inevitably had to start dodging every single road imperfection with it.
    It’s been a month and it’s winter in Italy, still didnt have any problems with leaks, line cracking, freezing or anything going bad, the only real issue is how bad of driving quality it is.
    I have to make things clear though, I’m driving a french car which literally doesnt have a single air strut manufacturer making specific struts for it, so struts were taken from a Golf IV, and it’s an european brand (TATechnix); I wonder how would the ride quality change with airlift struts.
    With that being said I will be lifting my car for maintenance next week and swapping out the bags for some bigger ones for more lift, hopefully that can help a little.

      @@ferrisbuellers air suspension is just a trend wait 2 or 3 years until people acknowledge that they suck

    • @SI0AX
      @SI0AX 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ferrisbuellers Fully adjustable racing coilovers can range from $1,000 -$3,000 so I don't think it's that bad. Autozone sold aftermarket replacement air shocks for my 2004 Lexus LS430 goes past $1,000 for each shock absorber. There is a much cheaper non-air replacement that is $150 each though. So IMO, since it's cheaper than the aftermarket air suspension stuff sold in Autozone, it's a pretty good price. Although I would never buy it because the roads where I live are so bad I don't expect shocks to last more than 5 years and I'm trying to save money by not daily driving my tuned cars (Mazdaspeed 6 and Honda CRX SI).

    Air is great. Love it but there's a lot of maintenance involved. Amazing if you live in an area with good roads. But living in NYC daily driving it takes a beating on the pillow ball bearings so they have to be replaced every so often. Had springs (with dcc). Then Airlift P3 and now going coilovers soon because i'm tired of the clunking noise from the strut and the concern of a bag failing when I'm thrashing backroads far from home.

Looked around and found a small block of wood on side of the rd. Jacked the truck up and placed the 4x4 block wood inbetween my frame and the suspension and drove that bitch home slowly. Couple days later a new bag came in and i was right back there throwing sparks on purpose lol.

      I saw another vid from Fitment (I think it’s “So you want to bag your car?” or something) and Alex said (theoretically) they may start to become cheaper over the next few years. They’re mostly super expensive right now because of the relatively small number of quality competitors. There are some companies that are more affordable but fingers crossed it gets cheaper sooner than later lol. I also know some shops that will let you finance in the NYC area so you can still get your stuff and just pay it off like anything else.

      Tbh I don’t think it’s all that pricey compared to like 3 ways adjustable coil overs like kw v3s and such it’s actually cheaper. Then to top it off it has a lifetime warranty from airlift so I think the price is fair where it is.

    I dont hate air ride & I am totally not against it, if that is what you prefer. There are definitely benefits to air ride suspension that make it worth while.
    I would personally not put it on my own vehicles, because "stance" isn't my game. I am fine with coil overs, & prefer them for performance reasons. Not saying that an air ride suspension cant keep up, just that it is unnecessary if you are not planning on "slamming" your ride to the ground. & coil overs are more reliable long term.
    You do you, I'll do me.
