Was a long and dark December
From the rooftops I remember
There was snow

From the windows they were watching
While we froze down below
When the future's architectured

When I'm dead and hit the ground
My nerves are poles that unfroze

My all time favorite song from Coldplay. As far as I can remember, my parents always made me listen to Coldplay when I was a child. Now I am 22 and Coldplay is still and will forever be my favorite band.

Played this for my late brother the night before he passed. This was one of his favourite songs
The best Coldplay album by far. Although, Parachutes is a masterpiece and so is A Rush of Blood, Viva is just purely creative, colorful and brilliant.
I thought Viva was a little bit of an underrated album. Not Coldplay's best but not their worst either.
However in my opinion Head Full Of Dreams was by far their worst album.
+Dystopia
I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but you obviously didn't give the new album a chance there is a clear difference in song styles such as "Everglow" and "Amazing day" those songs pay homage to the older coldplay fans. With "adventure of a lifetime" and "hymn for the weekend" they go for a new look and pull it off suprisingly well. If i were you i would give it another listen too because it is phenomenal
+Jason Bourne I do like ahfod as well !:)

The ending verse got me. And the video made so much sense. He was waking around eggshells, and flumbling half the time, had she told him that she’s always loved him, he wouldn’t have walked around eggshells. But you can’t turn back time

Me: looks at rock -- "Damn, this piece of rubble that probably fell off the scaffolding of the 4 story house next to me around 4 years ago is trying to tell me something, let me take a loo-"
"..this piece of earth matter is so stunning, absolutely beautiful. This piece of solid matter encompasses how we should live our life, the direction and way that we should take decisions and make it happen the moment we achieve the hesitation. It proves that anything that makes contact with it could push it over easily, this might be the case physically, to a larger extent in the mind, but this goes to show the more you stuff inside that head and heart of yours, the more you will understand the true beauty of life and realize where the constantly changing path you go through is largely affected about how tough and big you pull your self love and esteem, and how powerful the forces that oppose you would be. About The Music Video:
👇👇
A music video was filmed in support of the song, which was released 18 May. It was directed by visual artist Asa Mader, and parts were shot at Mount Etna and in the courtyard of Palazzo Biscari, Catania, Sicily.
This original version of the video begins with the band climbing a hill and reaching a quiet town, where they start playing their instruments. The four musicians are shown performing the song, dancing and walking around on Mount Etna's hills. Scenes are sometimes sped up or in slow motion and alternated with black and white close-ups of band members' faces. Chris Martin is seen singing holding a magnifying glass in front of his mouth, hitting the screen with a hammer and walking on the snow. At the end of the video, Martin falls to the snow and the band walks away from the town. This video was shown on a small on-stage television screen as part of the live shows, during the band's 2008 Viva la Vida tour.

I love this song, viva la vida is the philosophical one, life in technicolor is then cheerful one and violet hill is the political one.
Such a beautiful song. The whole album will be forever linked with my teen years, especially with the introspective, lonely moments.

Bring back Coldplay, the real Coldplay.
My thoughts exactly after listening to their new songs.

especially bring back jon without a cap and chris with curly hair
If they always made the same music it would be boring, they need to make new music, to evolve. I think they are one of the best bands on the world, and I love their music. But it's only my opinion.
