Everyone always seems to ask me what its like driving a 1000hp car around on the street. Well in this video im sure all your questions will be answered. The car is making 850+whp so its close to 1000hp at the crank. If y'all want more videos like this please Like, Comment & SUBSCRIBE!!!

Had to check the year when you said it’s been brutally hot because I’m in Massachusetts but at least I’m on the East Coast too. so I suffer in the humidity like you guys.

1.5jz is a great setup if you are already 1jz. honestly, I would never try to just build a 1.5jz off rip. I would just buy a 2jz, but if you already have a 1jz and something internal happens.... slap a 2jz block in there. its worth it. hands down!

Cant wait to get mine running like this. Did you do billet mains? One plus side to the heat is that it gives you substantially more grip. Might have more power when its cool but that dont mean shit if you cant put it to the ground
In that setup it didn’t have billet mains but on my new motor setup I do.
@@Mr94soarer how bad was the cd009? I been considering it for my build initially, eventually I'll put a sequential in it but just to get it on track to get some seat time initially might throw a Cd009 or AR5 behind it

Well a for effort man.. but yeah, I had a hard time really hearing anything. When you were driving, it was hard to hear what you were saying, but at the same time I couldn’t hear any exhaust or engine noises.

michael delatorre honestly I bought them from a guy years ago so I have no idea if they are oem black or painted. But I will be replacing the door panels and interior pieces in the future.

CBF Performance Gen 3 or 4 I believe
For door handle, they have chrome metal ones. Really dress up your car. Look in eBay. Might need to look for ones with Japanese name (Soarer?). 👍

Rise Kings! Agree'd... if I was buying a motor to swap in the car I would just go 2jz. I would never buy miscellaneous parts to build a 1.5jz. Only way I would do a 1.5jz is because I already have a 1jz and something happened to it internally.

Boost Dreamer I'm using the CBF Performance shifter. I wanna say it's the v3 version.
Mr94soarer I’m actually running the same too. It’s the old v3. So I talked with Jason and sent my shifter off due to me breaking it and he offered to fix/upgrade it. Super cool guy, so jut talk with him and send yours back in for a upgrade. I couldn’t tell if it was the shifter or trans doing the sticking but I’m thinking it was the old style shifter. I got it back not with a full upgrade because one of him machines was down but no issues with sticking as of now.
Boost Dreamer well thank you for that. I've talked to him about it before and he was saying it could possibly be a piece inside the trans. Ive broken one of my shifters already before and he sent me another but the shifter is doing that thing when it gets stuck. I'll reach out to him again. Anyway I can use you for a vouch?

What part are u talking about? The gears are long on this setup so either I'm spinning... or short shifting due to traffic

@@Mr94soarer ok cus i got sum 272 bc cams but didnt install them ,but i had the springs an retainers done. i was told they will pitch out the shims on top the buckets so i was jus wondering if you had any issues puting 272 on the 1j head with the stock bucket.
Keron Simon nope not at all. All I replaced was the springs n retainers. Everything else is stock in the 1jz head besides the 272 cams

@@keronsimon3366 Don't worry bout the buckets. Unless you start to run 10mm or more real valve lift cams, and constantly banging rev limiter above 8k rpm's you are fine with oem buckets. Some weird lobe profile cams like old school crowers were prone to spit out shims though. I run shimless on my 1j vvti head with 272 bc's and 60lbs supertech single springs with titanium retainers. 8600rpm limit with very harsh and aggressive ignition cut limiter.

Quick question... What harness is better to use for the 1.5L? 2jz or 1jz? GE or GTE? Non VVTI or VVTI?
Joseph Lewis well honestly if you have a 1.5jz you should probably stick with the harness that you had originally running the motor. I'm using my 1jz harness with my 1.5jz
