Tell me about it I got Revenge of the Fallen Bumblebee for Christmas and I can safely say that almost 50% of him is clear plastic and at that size with the complexity of his transformation yeah I'm not going to touch him for a while I'm going to still pose him and make him look cool but no I expect him to shatter on me any day now

I was hesitant on this guy at first but the new leg transformation honestly sold me, I have almost every SS bumblebee so having one that breaks up the monotony is really nice
My problem with almost every other bumblebee is that during transformation, tabs had to align perfectly and often felt fiddly. This SS100 Bee is just an easy transformation, no mess or fuss. I love it!
This is definitely the best studio series bumblebee figure I seen, I’m glad the doors don’t have clear plastic. This figure definitely deserves a upgrade kit and a repaint. Great review like always :)

I love how even without looking the comparison to the 2007 movie figure Bumblebee's robot mode looks like he is a small Transformer! Such a shame about those paint apps, but I love the improvements to the doors!
The whole issue with this guy’s paint isn’t that he’s lacking it, but that this time around, instead of moulding in silver then painting it yellow like previous bumblebee figures or having his limbs be silver with separate yellow layers, he’s been moulded in yellow and painted silver which means a lot more paint is used for the limbs than usual. The lack of dual layers is also probably how this guy has better articulation and a simpler transformation than say the dotm bumblebee or the cybertron figure

This has to be one of the best Bumblebee figures in Studio Series. The car mode is great too, it has the aesthetic of Shatter & Dropkick. Edit: A lot of people being butthurt that I like this figure lmao 💀
This is definitely my favourite Bumblebee design! I love this camaro and this is basically a better version of the 2007 1970 camaro bumblebee, so this is my favourite Bumblebee design!
Great review and so is the deluxe. New projects with clear parts inserts are how things should have been done from the start. Simplier transformation also works better since SS deluxes were really spindly with not much place for parts when transforming. Looks cool but I just might get Terrorcons and WFC bots from SS in 2023 and skip rest.
Regarding the blaster being cast in yellow plastic but then fully painted in gunmetal, it'll be purely down to "sprue balancing" during the manufacturing process. It's not just about fitting as much as you can on a particular sprue but also making sure that the melted plastic flows smoothly and evenly and that each component on a sprue has the perfect draught angle to pull from the mold without catching. There is just so much that goes into engineering plastic kits/toys that the average end user has no idea about. Ultimately it's a costing balance between number of sprues (and therefor colours of plastic), the number of componets and their distribution on each sprue, and the final paint apps that the budget can then cover.

Well, the head isn't actually that inaccurate. If you look closely in the trailer when we get the shot of bumblebee transforming, we can see that he now has some yellow under his eyes.
I can’t even believe how easy he makes transforming it look I’ve been crying my face off in my room trying to snap the hood in place to no avail and now the plastic has dents where I’ve been trying to snap it together and at this point I’m so close to giving up trying to transform it ALL I WANNA SEE IS IT AS A CAR IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK FOR

wow this is awesome! an incredible model and mold for bumblebee! maybe the best one yet. So glad the roof doesnt fold into an ugly backpack that is visible like the others. the finger articulation is sad but it makes up in the transformation process and no fake chest
This is such a good figure I went on a hunt for the takara version today I went to 3 different stores and when I finally went to Walmart it looked like they didn’t have it but I noticed that it looked like someone tried to hide a night bird so I thought to look under the shelf and I just saw his face. I gotta say it was worth all the driving

Looks so much better in hand! The head paint is kind of accurate as he does have more yellow on his head sculpt but agree it still needed some silver around the eyes. Joints are super tight, quality is brilliant. 100 up with style 👍

I like the simplicity of the transformation, although it's maybe a little TOO simplistic but what's putting me off is that it's glowingly yellow and the black paint looks really scruffy around the wheel arches? I think in general I'm just a bit sick of all the Bumblebee toys maybe? Awesome video review though, as ever ;)
If I’m not mistaken, the unpainted blade was a last minute throw in for this version of Bumblebee. It was originally meant for a later Bumblebee figure from what the designers stated. If I were a betting man, I’d say we’ll get another shot at the classic camaro Bumblebee with a more Bumblebee 2018 stylised head. I think this because in the trailer (with the exception of the scene with Cheetor) Bumblebee is only in the camaro form from the end of Bumblebee 2018. It wouldn’t be too far fetched to think that they’ll make a figure of that version with a painted version of the blade that comes with this one
This looks WAY better than the SS 2007 Clunker Bee. I have it and it is a NIGHTMARE, so I’m very happy with how this new version has turned out. (Well, aside from the paint.)
This is brand new mold which is great but so much yellow lack of paint though it seems to be built somewhat great. The alt modes nice and he comes with a cannon and the the sword thing
Honestly dotm bee and now this one are Honestly my favorite bee molds. The dotm has that amazing spoiler and stripes and this one's mold just looks so accurate despite the paint problems
I'm loving these studio series reviews to the point I actually have downloaded all yours and Emgo316's reviews you both have reviewed, sorted them in their selective movie folders in chronological order. Also, I actually quite like this design and yes we've had multitudes of bumblebee molds released in this line but considering as how much of a fan favourite character and different design changes he's had since 2007, of course we'd have as many as we do. This and Battletrap video will definitely be added to your folder PrimevsPrime. Love the reviews as always and can't wait for the missing 5 figures between The Fallen and Battletrap. One last thing, you wouldn't happen to know why we don't have a studio series 86 "live action" figure would you? Unless it's got something to do with the '86 sublime?
Solid Bumblebee figure, and interesting update. Been wanting a decent/well produce classic Camaro Bee for a while as the only one I ever got was the original from the 2007 movie. Nice to see non painted doors for once, and really like the straight forward transformation where everything fits/slots properly in pace and doesn't doesn't need to be force puzzled into place.
Dude I’ve never been so geeked for a bumblebee figure in a while it looks so clean. Only miner issues I have is I wish he was the same color as the B-127 figure and the armors kibble in the car mode but either way solid figure.
Looks like I'm going to have to paint the blade and part of the face. Still nice to see this design be a "best of both worlds" approach or Beewun/2007 rather than the lazy top swap he had at the end of BB
Because i do not have any Studio series Bumblebee from beginning in my Transformers collection, so i definitely 💯 percent pick up this one, Rise of the Beasts Bumblebee attempt how amazing this newest design on this Bumblebee between his robot mode 🤖 and his super cool alt mode 😁. All I can say is I am a bit impressed if anything utilising the jeep mold and heavily modifying it to be this beautiful off-road Camaro.

I'm praying DNA Designs gives us a new head and blade with more paint apps. Other than that this figure is actually pretty good.
