Good disassembly video! For those asking- his car has a standard double din size opening- any double din radio will fit. That said, a lot of the Chinese no name ones aren’t quite the right dimensions- as evidenced by the need to trim the radio opening in this video. Most name brand (JVC/Kenwood/Pioneer/etc) are built to better tolerances and should fit just fine. The screen size doesn’t matter as long as it’s a double din chassis. You can even install the new style floating radios with 10,12 or even 15” screens as they have either a din or double din chassis that mounts in the car and the screen floats in front of that chassis.

Great video. Smart kid. I am a senior and I need to replace my 2008 Nissan Versa radio and was concerned I would have to remove the whole dash. You put my mind at ease. If I get a garage to do the replacement, it won't cost as much as I thought. I could even do it myself. Good job!

Hello, where did you buy the white adapter to which you connected the two plugs to put the link? thanks

If you unplugged the airbag mode you can reset the error in the computer by turning the ignition to its on position, wait until the airbag light turns off and turn the key to acc within 1 second. Wait 3 seconds and repeat this 3 times. then turn it to the on position again, and the airbag light will flash really slowly, thats good. turn it off for a couple seconds and then turn on again, the airbag light no longer blinks after this, you are good to go.

I had the same problem with the fit in my versa..I put in a single din and a piece to sit under it, but the below piece didn't quite fit, so I just left a hole lol

I know this is an old question- but it takes an additional harness/adapter AND the new radio has to be compatible.

Was told the other were having trouble during playback didn’t know it was the video itself or firmware, so thought to upload a second one just in case and as a test and hopefully it will play better.
