T206 Rarities Explained | Vintage Spotlight | Episode #1

In this inaugural episode of the Vintage Spotlight podcast, Leighton and Jeremy discuss the T206 set and the varying levels of scarcity of the card backs, the importance of eye appeal via the analysis of two 1952 Topps Mantle's, the impact of the Baseball Hall of Fame's decision to integrate the Negro League stats into Major League and resulting rise of Josh Gibson collectibles and finally why did Leighton commend Jeremy on the oldest baseball card in his collection.

Great video. I was lucky enough to pick up the complete Laughlin set late last year, fun to see the interest in these cards and values. Nice segment on the T206 cards / backs; now I have to go and revisit my card backs.

Love this video! Thanks for making this channel. As for the Mantle, left is a new cert and right is a very old cert re-holdered. I will take the centered but the right looks to have better color and surface.
