Another great episode guys.. Couldn't agree more on the T3's being under appreciated, it's suprising how affordable they still are. Also the the 1934 Diamond Stars, the art deco look of them is simply beautiful. Thanks for putting these videos together, really enjoyable

I feel like the Star 101 has grown so much because it’s just recently started to be accepted and graded by more people. It’s at such a high price it’s hard to even get close to acquiring it for most. Heck even the regular 86 Fleer, you’re looking at dropping close to $2k for it at its lowest grade. I would still love to own either but at this point 86 is just more attainable. I also believe the Star is his true Rookie card.

I know what you mean about getting the card when the opportunity presents itself, if the card is rare. I saw you (Jeremy) in Montreal after I after I got a Plante rookie. The seller was like «there’s not another one here ». But I said there are others but there isn’t another « 1..psa1 ». Card had glue on the back but front was nice. PSA 4 on the front, A on the back. It was the mullet of cards.

I don’t think that it matters on a rare card like a 1914 Cracker Jack if it is SGC or PSA - prewar SGC was always regarded as the expert. We all have VCP and compare the 4 for sale with the 4s that sold and adjust bids accordingly. I pay up for nicer cards (though I am not in the market for $100K cards). Will unlikely ever buy a 1914 and get more 1915s since they are cheaper because of the ability to buy the full set. I just bought my first 1915 a few weeks ago - a PSA 4 Chief Bender and it is beautiful so will get more.

I'm with you Brad, I buy the card, not the slab. However, if I don't like the way a specific cards presents in a specific slab, I may want to break it out and have it slabbed by a different grading co. but that is only for my own enjoyment of the card. Thanks for watching and dropping the comment! Episode 3 drops by Saturday so hope you enjoy that one too. -Jeremy

I just watched your second episode of the Vintage Spotlight podcast and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am a vintage collector with about 25 high quality vintage cards primarily from the key sets. Your discussion of the Cracker Jack cards was very interesting. I collected in the early 80's and purchased the factory set of the 1915 Cracker Jack set for about $5000. In the early 90's I sold the set for about $65,000. Bad decision! I have subsequently obtained the Cobb, Wagner, Mathewson and Johnson. I saw the note on Net 54 regarding the get together at the National at noon on Friday for all Cracker Jack collectors. I look forward to meeting you then!

Dave! So glad you enjoyed the pod! Sounds like you have some amazing cards, I'd love to see them. I'm not sure if I'll be at the get together as I am not active on Net54, but Leighton may be. regardless, hope to meet you at the National next week! -Jeremy
