Well I still am not sure whether or not to tear into any of my axis lock knives. 2 are Benchmade autos so not at all sure there. The ST110 is one to consider breaking into though!!! Thanks Beez 🤘🏻
@@charlesbeall2589 Touché. It just frustrates me because there's so many budget liner/frame lock knives with reversible pocket clips. I've personally found that a reversible clip (the easy part) is more important than if the lock is lefty friendly (supposedly the hard part), so seeing a knife get the hard part right but the easy part wrong boggles my mind.
@@Ike32 I completely understand, however in my experience there's simply nothing that comes close for edge retention under $70, and if you get one with a coated blade then corrosion isn't really an issue, so D2 is actually still my preferred steel on
It’s so sad that some knife makers don’t even consider drilling holes on the other side for a reversible clip that would increase sales by 20% now that’s bad business
Definatly appears to be well made, acids locks are great and I have a few of the non benchmade variety from different companies. For the price this has good materials and the fit and finish seems on point. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable
Hey Beez! I am glad that a pocket knife maker didn’t sacrifice design for a lanyard. All my fix blades have a lanyard, helps in the sheath, but I think a pocket clip is way more essential on a pocket knife. Just grouching. You’re the best Beez! Keep it up
Good to know I wasn’t the only one to have some struggles disassembling this knife. I just got it this week, in white G-10, and it now has holes to reverse the pocket clip. Good job CMB.
Ah yes, the axis lock...my least favorite knife to disassemble lol. I line up the first bearing, then insert the pivot just enough to hold that bearing, slide the blade in, then use something thin to push the last bearing into place. Boy they weren't messing around with that sharpening choil. Thanks Beez!

Police fired on him after he refused to comply. There's bound to be more to the story. He possibly could have suffered a head injury and wasn't in his right mind. Very tragic outcome.
I like that knife. The scales are 🔥 and having an axis lock at that price is a definite bonus. I would like to see a full disassembly because I know that’s the first thing I’m going to want to do. I have that same pick set from Harbor Freight by the way. I think I got mine for around $3. They come in so handy.
I will definitely do a full disassembly of an axis lock in the near future. There wasn't much left to disassemble, and you have to reassemble and insert the blade the way I did anyway. So, it was pretty close LOL.
I like it a lot. I haven't owned any axis locks/crossbar locks yet, but I love the idea. I really don't like liner locks on drop-shutty knives. As far as billboards go, that one is very minimal. Not bad at all. This knife is a winner for sure.

Great review! I think you might have accidently put the bearing on the clip side in backwards though. But the knife seems to work well anyway, so I don't know if it matters. Just got mine today, black on black. Sharpest knife I've ever bought. Beat out my para 3 , super smooth cuts. The "axis" lock works very well, better than my Gerber sedulo. Only thing is, it's a hefty boy lol.. wasn't expecting that, but it's fine.. very nice for the price.

Good quality, solid build and love the bladeshape with that nice choil. Putting back together is not for the fainthearted though. Thank you for the informative review BB.
Pro tip, if you can't get a really small fastener loose, don't strip it, throw the whole knife in boiling pot of water for 5 minutes or so than carefully without burning yourself try that little guy again. Works like a charm but might take a couple tries. Your taking it apart anyway so the water won't hurt at all!

Sweet knife. Three things I would change though; give it a flipper tab, round out that choil and make a real finger coil, and sink those clip screws. Honestly though, I like it.
Nice Knife, not necessarily my style but it appears to be built solid. I am not a big fan of axis locks. They seem to work smoother when you use thumb-finger. They do work with just one, however it can tend to bind a little. Fair price. Multiple ways to deploy the blade. I like that better than just one.

I Like benchmade but assemblie them is Tricky. I have 3D printed a little Tool to make it easier to Slide in the Blade and the washers but that don't Work with the Ball bearings from the Low price China knives

Looks great, but as a lefty I am so tired of seeing non-reversible pocket clips on knives with ambidextrous locks.
It's taken 40 years for ambi locks....don't "rush them" into considering lefties!😏

full dissasemble info: the studs on the crossbar lock unscrew. so full dissasembly/reassembly is super easy.

I always try to put the bearings back like I found them but the knife will work the same no matter how you put them in.

I've seen this brand around but hadn't seen a review. I don't have any axis locks.
I have a few now. Sitivien St109 and 110, and the Asher Nomad. They are pretty convenient for in and out of the pocket.
