wow, that Houge lineup is something that was missing in the crossbar knives family, 3.5" blade, coyote tan, blade shape, its neat to see new stuff like that coming out
Pretty sure the reason the Ortis comes in a little under most other Civivis is due to it NOT having G10 handles. They're FRN or some other plastic/polymer. Slick looking piece, although I think I'd rather fork over the extra $5-$20 for G10.
Got my kiku xr ,talk about Tough solid and Strong!! As good as as the $500 Tuff guy's out there. X. R. Lock better than frame lock. S o g is as good and strong as much more expensive knifes out there 😁 Kerry. Show me the Knifes
I like that Cold Steel Gunsite. The holes in the handle remind me of the knife that started my addiction: a red, $5 BudK Neon Striker. It had gas-station steel, a very dull edge, tape stuck all over the blade, and an ever-loosening pivot screw... but I Ioved that thing.
Aus10 is extremely good at cutting meat... It cuts like a fine fillet knife but way more robust. It's perfect steel for a budget dagger. Cold steel does good self-defense knives... Something I wish I saw more of from north america.
You guys should seriously consider contacting and purchasing a bunch of “maker knives” from that gentleman giaco whatever. Simply one of the best edc utility knives I’ve ever seen. They’re sold out and I missed my chance at buying one. You guys could probably stock enough to warrant a second production.
AUS-10 is 440C. Also.... A tactical Pizza cutter. With a stonewashed finish to hide scratches! Well, just the thing for taking care of business when the pizza delivery boy shows up at your front door. 😁

One think I would like to know is the use's of the different types of blades. For instance when would you want to use a Tanto, or Bowie style, rounded or straight, short or long. What is the best use for a combo blade? Do you have videos on these types of subjects?
The civivi ferrum forge makes a good edc , and I'm really liking the fracture, I own 8 civivi knives ,never dissatisfied, thus far, some I've used hard and they hold up well 😀 very satisfied and appreciate the budget line that We knives has provided for us , because with some brands you're really just paying for the name..

That Hogue/Sig one looks cool. Too bad you can flip it open like that without a stud or whatever. That makes it a "Prohibited Weapon" here in Canada. Our laws definitely need an overhaul.
Did you get the specs of that Ortis wrong or are there multiple new models with different specs. I have on in front of me right now that arrived today that is 9cr18mov and not the 9cr14mov you said. Also the handle is frn and not g10

I use my utility knife a dozen times a day. Way more than anything else in my EDC. I wouldnt think twice about spending that kind of money on a quality tool. Why not? I spend way more on my knives and use them a fraction as much.

Great Civivi lineup...love the McKenna in brass/154CM - my favorite knife. Looking at maybe getting one in Damascus/copper. Great little knives.

Hope that Civivi offers the Ortis with the same fuller design that they now offer in the Dogma. Also, G10 scales would be a nice option.
