- Alex Salazar of tropical acres farm discusses the mango fruit drop that typically occurs after the flowering period and initial fruit set and the disease pressure that is experienced in certain growing areas in Florida.
Alex. I agree with the watering on the initial stage. I tried it this year and my fruit drop was very minimal. I used this method on my Rosigold and as of today it’s around 4 inches in diameter.
Thanks for sharing!
I agree too with the watering....it reduces alot of the fruit drop....i start to water when most of the flower panicles are open
Thanks for the info
Excellent video! Thank you. Any advice specific to mango growing in the Keys?
Cool
Great info.
Thanks for watching
Dang!!! Not a “goodbye” or nuttin! Yall made me feel so cheap! Like I need to take a shower now, or sumppin . 😂 No summary, no nuttin! Y’all need to think about other people’s feelings too, not just hang-up on them like that. 😢
What varieties does Alex recommend for more humid areas? North of Orlando….Leesburg to be more specific.
Pickering, Sweet Tart, Cac, Cecilove, Orange Sherbet, Angie are just a few to consider
