Yamaha every day of the week,, Kawa is a great bike but no cruise , no ride by wire, only quick shift up, You get what you pay for,so I’ll go for team blue IMO
We get ripped off on just about everything here. Wait till you find out how much honda is asking for the new cbr600rr. Its about $4-5k more than the r9. Insanity.
@avi8r944 fair enought there was a time when AUD was higher than CAD. To be fair at least new cbr is available there. The one sold in NA is the 2014 with updated livery. Still though not cool you have to pay so much in Australia.
@@windstheory it's available but I don't think anyone's been dumb enough to pay 1000cc money for a 600cc lol. Oh well, maybe honda wanted it fail for whatever reason.
I would purchase the KWAWI due to the fact the Yamaha has a three cylinder, and they are known to have unbalanced high revving engines, Like the early 70's Kawasaki three-cylinder air cooled ''widow maker''. i.o.w. ''Go for what you know''. Said by musician Pat Travers. Also, the Yamaha is more expensive, although money well spent, the ZX6R is worth its price too. Future ''Battle of the Bikes'' Honda 600 RR against Suzuki 600. 💯⚡⚡🏁
I'll just buy the zx6r or the 4r or rr...cause it just seems like the best once and the logical once...sporty and small but powerful..everything we love the green colour🌲💚
@@windstheoryyamaha is a awesome bike...i am a yamaha simp 😂believe it lol...i just love that bike...i only liked the zx10r but am transitioning like am like the smaller sportiness of these 4r or 6r...cause yamaha don't have those options right not thats just the reason but yeah the green has a good reputation right like they are sports bike...well awesome that you have a 4rr congratulations its awesome...its definitely a dream bike 💚
@nazzalgrylls1403 fair enought. I've always been a kawasaki guy. As for the 4rr it's so fun riding it and being able to hammer through the gears and not going too fast. It literally sounds like a 1000cc bike which makes it even more hilarious when you look at the speed it's going in comparison to the sound. Definitely look into getting one or even a 6r. Also keep an eye out for honda in the future since they have a cbr400rr on the way.
@@windstheorywow seems like your rocking it...if it sounds fast and runs fast it definitely just one heck of machine...because the zx4r and 6r are all new to me...i've only heard of the ninja 400s and 650s...but this 4 cylind3r bikes seriously growing on me🤣🤣🤣i didn't wanted to seriously...but yes its really beautiful...you ride safe now...and yes hope 3 get the r9 or 6r soon my friend...💚💙
@nazzalgrylls1403 sound is just deceiving because it's only 399cc and 4 cylinder it just sounds faster than it really is haha but that's what makes it fun. I absolutely love the sound of screaming 4 cylinder bikes. Thanks so much and likewise!
Also, the R9 is not an SS. "Super Sport" is not a style of Motorcycle, It's a Racing Class. The largest Engine Permitted in the Super Sport Class is the 750cc Parallel Twin. How do You compare 2 Bikes when one has an Engine that is 300cc's larger than the other?? That's a whole entire Motorcycle of Displacement.
Yes sir. Any day. But for this generation it needs a tech update really bad. I wouldn't buy either of these in this comparison. My old zx6r wasn't neutered, it was a great roadbike. I never tracked it. I had a 600RR as a track bike pre-covid. My current bike is a S1KRR but if The GSXR750 gets updated I love to own one.
@davidlagno7717 I feel sorry for this generation. How are they supposed to learn threshold breaking and throttle control to manage wheelies and wheel spin when their bike's computers are doing it for them. I learned on my brother's modded (HRC 4 into one exhaust, racing clutch, head work, maybe cams) CB 750 with no aids, bought my own 84 Honda 750 Interceptor (a kinder gentler bike), and now ride 750 Gixxer. I don't need any shtinking rider aids.
@GhostRider020 I feel sorry for them too. They believe all the internet and marketing hype. I shut the traction control off on my bike and keep it in track mode and It's been like that for 10yrs. People ask me everyday if my bike is new. I don't even like all the buttons. I don't need tft dash or any of that Bluetooth shite.
You mentioned the winglets are tacky because the r9 isn't a race bike. But I is a track/street orientated bike which will be used in WSB. Also people will be track daying that bike. Just wanted to point that out.
@ cool! Im currently on exactly the same ninja 400 as you, love it! But Im starting to look at a bit bigger bikes when I come off my Ps. I commute everyday so a comfortable “not so sportbike” sportbike is what I’ll probably get next. Would love to get your view on some mid-size sportbikes. Yamaha r7, honda cbr650r, suzuki 8R, daytony 660, aprilla RS660 and Im keen to see what the new CF Moto 675 SR looks like when it comes out. It would be great to get an Aussie view on things. i like the Aprilia RS 660 but man its overpriced in our market.
If I was just going to ride it on the road with the occasional blast around the hills it would be the new Yamaha R9. The Kawasaki would be the one to blast around on the track. Well done on the video 👍.
My experience with inline-3's from Triumph was a disappointment and they always looked way better on paper. I cant escape my addiction for a 1000cc Inline-4 brutal adrenaline rush. Id like to see the GSXR750 get updated and brought up to spec with modern tech. Thats a bike worth comparing to the R9. B.T.W i think it looks terrible. Looks half finished and they forgot about the exhaust. But its gonna sell i guarantee it.
Where I live the R9 is 1700 euros more expensive than the ZX6R and CBR600RR, and I wouldn't want to pay that premium for the R9. Price is more important than tech, as long as I have ABS I'm happy.
So 1st None of the 600ss Bikes have been Discontinued, actually Yamaha is Releasing the next Gen R6 in 2025. The R6, CBR-600RR, GSX-R 600, And the ZX-6R are all still in Production.
For the street? 50% more blessed CCs! More TORQUE Dang I love the CP3 motor! 600s are track weapons to race other 600s. If I were gonnna get an inline four? Shoot Ill just get a liter bike...ya know?
Hi There, Could you please make a comparison between the R9 and the Honda CBR 600 RR but the European model, not the American one. The CBR 600 is more refined and packed with high-tech than the ZX-6 and could win this comparison.
I wish they would bring back the r6 there is a place for the r6 with all the yzf line up. These are the two bikes I want to buy but if I had to get one would be the zx6r I still have my gsxr 2008 600cc bought it new in 2008 Suzuki will always be my favorite but me personally I want the r6 and zx6r
There’s no match new tech is always better. R9 has cruise, navigation, auto blip. Idc about track or race. The m riding on the highway a streets and navigation and cruise control I always use.
Ya’ll are getting massively ripped off on both bikes! Both companies are doing you a huge disfavor. I would NOT buy any of those bikes at those prices forget it! Send them all back and tell them to lower their prices there they’re ridiculous

This is a great comparison, the Yamaha is technically better in a lot of ways but that 636 will always get my vote!!
Thanks for watching!

Holy cow price difference is insane in Australia. In Canada for zx6r its $14,100 and r9 is $16000cad.

Imagine if Kawi made a ZX8R with IL4 160hp Euro 6, IMU etc and near to 200kg. Less extreme ergos they would sell surely?
They'd likely use the 900cc z900 engine.
The Ninja 1000SX and now 1100 is sort of living in this space, but I agree with you. Would love to see something like that
600cc have character that no big Engine, not ao high revving bike will make
anyone heard of gsx R 750?
ZX6R all day.Especially at that price.

The Honda vs Suzuki could be an interesting matchup. The price of Honda's 600CC supersports here in Aus is ridiculous
The 2024 zx6r has winglets too but it's not as obvious as the r9

I agree with you about the winglets ,they are hideous. Going for the kawasaki especially at the price.
You should compare it to a GSX-R750. I would take the GSX-R750 all day long.

Sad that the R1 is leaving in my area 😓 hope the new r9 turns out to be good. Otherwise Kawasaki will be the one

636 for the win in my book 🙂 Especially for the price !!! 5 grand is a ton of money when negotiating at the dealer-ship about your monthly payment

If they were the same price, the R9 is Superior. However, since the zx6r is 5k cheaper in Aus, it is essentially the best bang for buck of the two.
