Bro- I hold NO bond ETFs. I’m waiting for everything to kinda shake out (some capitulation). Once everything gets re-rated I’ll start investing in bond ETFs- any thoughts ?!
Can you explain the liquidity for ETF bonds? Like would there be anything preventing, penalizing, or notifying me if I decided to sell HYG a week after I bought it on my brokerage account? Or is it like a stock ETF where there are no restrictions are far as selling it?
SPHY seems pretty good to me. Lower expense ratio and same competitive yield. It has a growing dividend history.
Yield to maturity is above 8%!

I think we are getting closer to the shake out...

No restrictions, though you would incur short term capital gains taxes on any gains in that week in that example.
planning to own fractional shares in USHY and HYG in next couple months
Thanks for sharing, Steven!
I guess you cannot lock in the coupon rate as they are a baster of bonds? So when do you know you have reached maturity to regain face value?
Funds maintain a target duration by selling off old bonds near or at maturity and buying newly issued ones.
You missed the best one HYGV!!!
I have USHY and ANGL (and LQD).
Thanks for sharing, Jeff!
