He sang at Elvis memorial service. He was also called in to Take Elvis shows until all could be canceled. Bj & Elvis were friends and it broke Bjs heart when Elvis passed away. Bj talks about this in one of his interviews & breaks down. Now we've lost Bj too...hopefully their spirits returned to our Creator ♥️

I saw him perform this when he was in his mid 70's! He put even more into it that night. I don't know how he did it. It was amazing. It was a longer rendition than this..well more than 10 mins. I miss him so much as a fan from 1970 when I was 8 to forever. His is the most unique voice ever. He was so underrated. I never understood it. He was a great family man and beautiful soul. RIH
So sad to hear of BJ's passing today. He's one of my favorite performers. Sending condolences to his family.

Wow! I never heard this side of BJ before. He can do it all. Mighty clouds of joy is one of my all-time favorites.
I had a huge crush on him in the 80s when I was a teen, read his autobiography, was jealous of Gloria, and then saw him in concert twice...once at the Ingham? County Fair in Michigan and then again in Detroit with Kenny Rogers. At the Detroit concert, I left my seat and got down front with my camera and took a picture. As luck would have it...he's looking right at me in the picture, which I still have.
Wow! Lucky you! I was a teenager back in the 80's too, and B.J. Thomas was, and still is, one of my crushes. I never got to see him in concert though, and I regret that. Even though I'm a grown woman now, I still think B.J. Thomas is cute. His voice was one of a kind, and he will always be one of my favorite country singers. It's fun and kind of bittersweet to come on TH-cam and find videos of performances he did on various shows back in the 80's. For me, it's like being a young teenage girl all over again. Rest in peace B.J. Thomas. You are forever loved and missed.
There is so much to love about BJ Thomas. His humility has always struck me. Such a humble and kind guy - and he stayed that way throughout his career. RiP

Wow!! BJ Thomas had a beautiful voice!! I loved his voice!! I was a big fan of BJ Thomas in the 70's. My favorite song is, Hooked on a Feeling. I love that song!! So sad that he's gone. He died on May 29, 2021 after being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in March of 2021. He was 78 years old. May he rest in peace. ;(

WOW!! What a performance!! What energy, what a voice! When he held that one note when singing Mighty Clouds of Joy I actually yelled, "Whooooaaa!" It was AWESOME!!! It gave me the chills!!! I had to watch this a couple of times. Can't get enough...LOVE BJ! Will miss him...

larry floyd, this was done 17 years AFTER his drug years. He started his gospel singing after he got off drugs & alcohol.
I hope Larry Floyd is not a history teacher. His students would think World War 2 happened before World War 1.

I know why you made that comment. BJ Thomas was really frail and thin. When he made this concert. I was also concerned about his health to at this time in his life. I loved BJ Thomas til death do us part 😂😂😂. His voice and his music will live on forever in my heart ❤️❤️ .
