Lithium found in the Salton Sea

$540M worth of Lithium $29,000/ton) has been discovered in the lakebed of the Salton Sea in Southern CA. Will environmentalists allow us to mine this motherlode? It would topple China from the no 1 spot.

$29,000 A metric ton is not even $1.00 an ounce. that sounds very cheap?

I wonder if lithium can be recycled? And also is the earth still forming lithium like so called fossil fuels?

Gr8 question Phil. Lithium can be infinitely recycled, but the cost precludes using new lithium.
