Hey everyone welcome back to another video! Today I am super excited we are taking a look at this awesome overlander expedition vehicle from Europe! This is the Krug Expedition which is built on an ex military grade chassis! This Motorhome is so bad ass and awesome this is for the world travelers! It doesnt matter if you want to overland around America, Africa or Asia this is a BEAST of a RV!
Geez these are literally the “my RV can kick your RV’s ass” motorhome. What a freakin beast! Imagine seeing one of those at an RV park in the US.
There are a couple of imitators in the US. They don't look the same because the medium duty 4x4 trucks here aren't cab over, but the price is the same.
You can't drove to Mongolia from the US though, so they're a bit overkill and not much fun on the highway.

Yes, in price as well as these things cost as much as the Class A Diesel Pushers in the U.S.
Love the pass through, lots of “these” overlanders in the USA (made from army surplus trucks) I have seen do not have that feature!
Have a look at Earthcruiser and Earthroamer.
@@BillSprague Earthroamer uses Ford 600 chassis, Euro Roamers use real 4x4 and 6x6 even 8x8 chassis with 2000 lbs torque engines. You can't compare them. Not to mention Euro Roamers cost $300-700K and inferior US Roamer will bite you over a million dollars.
It's amazing how luxurious they are on the inside and rugged on the outside.
Matt, can you do a summary review about why European rv industry so much ahead of the US industry? Would be really helpful.

I was stationed in the Army in Germany in the 80’s and use to love those big military trucks! I would love to have one of those especially the 2nd one!!

I love the wet baths how big they were. And those refrigerators were great! Glad Germany is well with building great Rvs. Thank you and Rv Mattress for sending you there to show these. These are great to look at I felt like I was there. Sad Andrea didn’t go with you to the top of the Needle. That was awesome seeing that. Thank you again Matt and Andrea. And that nice lady who helped show the Rvs. Great hospitality.
So Matt, in the Army we called these trucks LMTV and MTV 's. We never had AC (or that worked) and never a sleeping area that comfortable. Great review and design. Now you have done why I joined the NCARNG yet never made it to there. Still on the bucket list to do, Also, during the show while looking is the beer complimentary? Hope you had fun.

Hey Matt this is a great vehicle type - always wondered what the interior of an overlander would look like .:. The rugged truck chassis 👍🏽 its beast ; the interior is basic but it works 👍🏽 good truck camper analogy Andrea; big bathroom 👍🏽 full width; tons of solar 👍🏽 excellent off grid; completely boondock friendly 👍🏽 never doubted it .:. I might offer the suggestion that some models step up the luxury features a little - more like the excap kitchen vs the rhino kitchen - things like USB outlets, cabinet trim, flooring, window trim, bunk beds, ceiling work etc .:. They are really Cool units, thanks for the review M/A .:. big shoutout to BB - first thing we did, even with our pop - up tent trailer, is upgrade the mattress - we felt that part of a great camp experience is getting good sleep
I actually saw something similar in Moab, UT. The tires were the size of a smartcar.

There are a few Expedition rigs like Krug in the USA like Earthcruiser, Global Expedition, and Adventure Trucks but very few. That Rhino edition is pretty special when you know a portion of the sales goes to preserving African rhinos. You and Andrea need to attend an Overland Expo and see what’s up Stateside. Show me a towel warmer in a US motorhome! 😂 Thanks for introducing your followers to the wonders of European motorhomes and for a really fun video! ❤

At around 24.05, a warm-water fed bath towel warmer appears (note valves at bottom). These are seen more in hotels outside of U.S. If your hotel has one, be sure you use it. I was surprised to see it in an RV.
Matt try Seatles needle, you can go outside at the top. That'll twist yer knickers.....
2nd one is nicer…. Reminds me of Hogans Hero show back in the day…. Great job..
What a wonderful use of an LMTV
The person sleeping in the back bed needs to climb over the dining room bed sleeper to get to the bathroom. I'd need to be on that bottom bunk 😆 Matt wins the internet today for popping through the skylight!
At that price point it meets my expectations, build like an AMERICAN ambulance especially the interior cabinets and the pass through super! Im thinking of a 17- foot one to fit in one parking space with 40 " tires:) need enough space for a four pound attack doggy!

This is not the typical European RV. I have no idea why they're only showing these one offs instead of the normal ones. The innovation going on is amazing compared to north American makers, yet they aren't showing it. I was looking forward to them going there to show some of the good stuff that might inspire north American manufacturers since they always claim to have their ear. What a disappointment.
That rig was HUGE!
But it was still kind of cramped!
Well made, but they need about foot more in length and a foot more in width so there can be a ppp in the bathroom.
My favorite will always be the bus with the garage!

Sounds great. Pity it's illegal to go off road on BLM land in the US. So where exactly are you going to use this to it's actual capability? I was looking at AUS RVs with similar specs until I realized that the compromises and the price were outweighed by not actually being able to use it in the United States.
I does not fit on nearly as many trails as my Earthcruiser!

Andrea said it best, it’s pretty much a glorified “truck camper” with a dinette, a difficult to make east west bed and a wet bath with a plastic toilet. Sorry, but the last word that comes to mind is comfortable😕😕😕
