Hey everyone welcome back to another episode of Matts RV Reviews Europe Edition! Today we are taking a look at this Action Mobil 6x6 Off the grid Motorhome! This is such a badass motorhome and we have the owner showing us around! This is such an awesome RV for the world travelers! If you love traveling the world then you will love this RV!
American RV companies should be forced to visit European RV shows so they can learn about quality craftsmanship.
Germany students learn in their school system that Americans are learning propaganda in their school system
These are miles above any RV's these are truly capable off-road 4x4 expedition vehicles that can drive across deserts where there are no roads. These vehicles can withstand temperatures below zero because of the foam composite walls and all the tanks for freshwater and waste tanks are inside the insulated envelope so they will not freeze in winter, try that with any US RV and the waterline would be frozen as well as the tanks. These expedition trucks also have a subframe that that keeps the habit nearly or completely torsion free so they can go off roading and not damage the walls of the habitat or anything inside. If you tried to take a US RV off road it would destroy itself. US made RV's are complete garbage compare to these expedition trucks.

It is easy to blame US RV manufactures, who I agree, most (not all) make rolling trash bins. However, US conumer demand low low prices. Selling well-made, luxury RV's is a niche in the USA.

The Europeans and the Asians are years ahead of US RV manufacturers.

the US has the most extensive road network of any country. you're also never more than 2 hours from a gas station.
because US people don't travel round the world but just their country. these rigs are built to go anywhere around the world
No one in the world can make RVs like the Germans.

Some conversions .. a 1000 litre fresh water tank is huge (265 gallons) so we’re off grid for a long time .. 175 litres of fridge + 150 litres of freezer under the seat is 11 1/2 cubic feet total .. bit smaller than we’re used to .:. U already know 👍🏽 combo washer dryer; really smart use of storage space 👍🏽 nice tie downs for off road use, all latched; great bathroom 👍🏽 shower is good size / height; like the cockpit door 👍🏽👎🏽 no swivel seats; beautiful cockpit area 👍🏽 well appointed (heated and vented seats 🇨🇦 🇺🇸); hydraulic lift vehicle storage 👍🏽 huge off road clearance .:. Not sure it’s a tag axle - if it’s a 6x6 it maybe fully powered, the knuckle may not swivel, but has a very long suspension travel to reduce the flexing of the cabin and traction control features to get through really rugged terrain; The chassis has up to 630 hp, probably 650-700 ft lbs torque, and 16000 lb ccc .. it’s a beast .:. 1000 litres of fresh water, but the tank for grey + black water is about 250 litres. So, how does that work together? You put in a 1000 litres of water to go somewhere very far from civilization, but when 250 litres of grey + black water tank is full, you need to find civilization - camper site - to dump the tank? Or do I not get something. Never owned or driven a such RV. I am new to this. So, just asking.
@@Jz-pu6jd for me two thoughts .. fresh is harder to get than dumping .. and worst case if I am stranded I bring a post hole digger and dig down 4’ to dump
@@blairkinsman3477 Ok, thanks for the answer! If I somehow get the money needed, I would order such RV to this manufacturer and then would clarify with him, what to do in such cases :)
the 420 hp engine has 1586 ft lbs torque. The smallest engine they have is with 280 hp and 1033 ft lbs torgue. MAN mainly uses Scania engines either the I6 diesel or v8 Diesel. (Top of the line V8 Scania engine has 770 hp and 2729 ft lbs torque. But They dont put it in the MAN chassi)
I think this is my favorite RV of all time. It has the best use of space, has the best quality and is the most practical as well.

I don't believe I have ever heard Matt and Andrea say the word "wow as often as while they visited Duesseldorf. That was an amazing RV!
It amazes me that this HUGE rig is just for 2 people.
I like that they have a window in the shower so that after everyone has bathed you can open the window to let the shower dry out.
I especially liked the freezer inside that dinette seat. Brilliant idea. And so is the placement of the other appliances too….

Great RV! What was the OCCC (just joking!). I see you were not prepared for British weather. Wellies and Brella should be standard issue. While the do have sunny days occasionally, never let the weather stop us during out three years over there compliments of Uncle Sam. Notice how everyone else had long sleeve and relatively heavy wind breakers/rain gear. With the compressed weather systems that far north giving back to back fronts (London is on the same latitude as Alaska's Aleutian Island Chain!) we had a joke of which three hours of the day would have clear skies. Still remember returning from the Continent and tuning in a London radio station and Bookies were giving odds that would not hit 80 degrees in London during July and August that year (the won the bet!).

Upon seeing these European RVs then you go back to looking at American models, our top of the list RVs look generic next to these beauties.

Hey Matt I got a comment do you have have CDL license for that well look like RV there but it looks like a armored car or a tank there but I know anything or two wheels sometimes you have to have CDL license drive something like that and do you have have please let me know thank you have a good day
Why isn’t MAN vehicles available in the US? Emissions? I thought most (civil) countries have tighter don’t do this or that emissions. I’m almost positive MAN has trucks built safe as any other that’s required, is that it ?

I can’t help but be attracted to these overland RVs. When SHTF you aren’t going to be on camp grounds or highways you will be in the “wild” and on your own.
Is that electric vehicle? Half the space would be batteries that would need to be charged 14-16 hours a day.

Only things I wish are
Lighter material (carbon fiber )
If it has a good rear stearing system
Pull out slides ( vertical or horizontal- global expedition models )
Possibly different layout and finishes
Lowering air suspension for better clearance options
Other then that it’s a perfect rig

Those MAN and Unimog conversations are my absolute favourite. I could crawl all over the Australian outback in one of those! It’s on the very top of my ‘when i win the lotto’ wish list. I’d need to win the lotto to afford the diesel 😂 This is one of the nicest ones i’ve seen.
I love the exterior and the off-road capability and look, but despite the quality of the RVs I’m still not loving the livability and comfort of the interior floorplans☹️

Fantastic videos! Next time you are in Europe you should check out how to adjust your camera shutter for 50 Hertz to avoid the flickering.

You all are so funny in the huddle to keep warm, as Will towered over, and Jen hold onto his arm for warmth, lol! Andrea getting squashed in the middle with arm parts blocking the camera, shivering grumbles, lol!!! Matt, you earned the title of “Skipper” you can really skip fast in the cold, hahaaha! What a fun time you all have together! I think Jen should sing the jingle if you ever compose one for the channel. Ok, try and behave yourselves… Not!!!

This RV is perfect for a Zombie Apocalypse.
I'm not sure the fantasy that these machines are built for exists, but they are very cool. To the people asking why we don't have these in the US, look up companies like Global Expedition Vehicles and Earthroamer. Not exactly the same but similar idea. And if you have to ask if you can afford them, you can't.

No slide outs is needed or wanted. This is an off-road rig ....and rigidity is a thing for the living quarter. If you want ...well....you can have slide outs.... There other yt-video's for such stuff.
