Next time someone tells me cats don’t understand feelings or emotions, and don’t understand us I am showing them Todd’s videos. I have never seen an animal who shows this much care for other animals and people,it’s just incredible. What a sweet and intelligent boy
Todd is so very polite to think of others before himself. It's difficult to teach this highly valued characteristics in children, but it comes naturally to Todd. I am amazed !!❤❤❤🎉❤❤❤
I absolutely love Todd’s concern for Pauline and Glamour. I never imagined a cat would care for the welfare of others that weren’t their babies. It is so wonderful!
I think many cats are like this, but because people perceive them as aloof, selfish, and manipulative thanks to long-standing misunderstanding of their behavior and stereotypes, we don't always notice how affectionate and caring they actually are. Cats love humans and each other as much as dogs do, they just express it differently. For some cats, just hanging out close by without any snuggling or touching is an expression of love.
I absolutely agree. I have been lucky that I have always had cats who are very open about showing their affection for their humans and for one another (the big joke around my house is the fact that we have at least a dozen cat beds of all different types spread around, yet, despite having cats for almost 20 years, most have not ever been used. Our cats prefer to climb up on top of us when they want to sleep. And if a human body or lap isn't available, they all curl up in a little kitty-pile on top of my bedroom pillow and sleep cuddled up there.) At various times we have had between 2-4 cats, and very luckily they all got along very well and many became closely bonded. They spend all their awake time playing with each other, grooming each other or eating together. A few of them even had the habit of going to the litter box together (one would guard while the other one used it, then they would switch places). Right now we do have one cat who doesn't mind sleeping on his own if the other cats are not busy elsewhere (although he prefers to sleep with me when I go to bed). Before him, every cat we have had has only slept or spent time alone when they feel injured or sick. One of the cats we had was so attached to the two others we also had at that he learned to mimic the sounds of the others names and would use those sounds to call for the others when they were out of sight (yes- the others actually responded). When that poor boy's best friend died, he literally stopped eating for almost a week and would just keep walking around the house looking lost and calling for his friend. No treats or favorite foods we offered would tempt him, and we needed to use subcutaneous fluids to make sure he stayed hydratrated, and were on the verfe of trying to use oral syringes to force him to take in some kitten "mush" to just to get him some nutrients. Luckily, with lots of extra love and cuddles and encouragement he did come around. He lived for another year and a half (to the ripe old age of 17), and although he was happy and had other kitty friends he never fully stopped looking for his best friend to return. I like to believe they finally reunited on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
@@susancregg472 You sound like an amazing cat mother. I have had cats all my life and when one of them dies I let them see and say goodbye. They seem to understand.
Well Todd was very chatty today, and generous as always! Don't know about those requested for others belly rubs though. He may be setting you up. Paulie certainly wasn't thrilled with the idea! And fickle Glamour; no touch, yes touch, No touch! She has the floofiest back end ever, makes her look very wide from behind! LOL Don't tell her I said that!
I had a cat that used to play fetch. She especially liked those 1 inch round rings you can get at the fabric store. She’d store them in,her kibble bowl and then drop them on our feet when she wanted to play. One time she couldn’t find one and instead brought one of those heavy ceramic clothes hooks that we hadn’t installed yet. That thing was heavy!
Todd almost (or maybe actually-it's hard to tell from this angle) nodded when Dad asked him if he wanted Paulie to have the belly rubs. Todd loves his siblings 😻❤️😻
Dad I hope your getting sleep, between work, your fur babies & social media …that’s the entire day ❤ thank you for the content though, I do enjoy watching your fur kids
I love how you ask to touch, pet etc. Consent from a cat and respecting their boundaries - if only we all did that with all living creatures and each other!
I love seeing Todd's mannerisms when getting ready to translate for his cat siblings 💕 Follow up with some Jingle Ball action warmed my heart 💜 Good boy Todd 🐈⬛️
This was so relaxing... just watching the kitties play and interact with each other and with Dad. Paulie was so happy getting his flappy bird! Dad knew what would make Paulie happy. So cute that it is the same colors as he is.
Todd is the absolute sweetest! I'm sure you're a proud papa to this amazing, intelligent, thoughtful and ridiculously handsome boy. Your furry family is such a joy to watch.
Todd sure knows how to help and make everyone happy! It's like Todd is trying to help Paulie heal and anxieties he may have. What a sweet and smart guy! All of your kitties are amazing. I adore cats! ❣️ 😻💞
Todd is a lovely boy 😻 he plays jingle ball so well They way he asks for toys for his companion's is priceless. Love, light and blessings to you all from England.🇬🇧🇬🇧😺🐾😻😻
I think that belly rubs are Todd's favourite, so I think it's significant that he's now asked Dad to give Glamour and Paulie belly rubs too. He wants them to experience his favourite expression of love from Dad.❤❤❤ I swear, it must take Dad all day to get 8 hours of work done. Cats are very demanding as it is, but a cat with all those words at his disposal? Todd's got Dad at his neck and call.😂😂
Sometimes I see a little rascal in Todd…..”Hey Dad! Let’s bug Paulie!!” Glamour and Paulie came upstairs to check on the treat distribution situation. Paulie didn’t seem to want belly rubs. Todd engineered one of his favorite things - everybody together. 😻😻😻☮️💜
I think this goes a long way to show how cats who live in a pride environment think of each other. Whether is affection or food they r able to communicate with each other and show a desire to do the same with the humans they trust. I’m just starting with my rescued mainecoon. He’s alert and very talkative and is always looking out for the other 2 rescues. I have a small dog that is Australian shepherd, border collie and beagle. She’s been trained and is really smart. Thinking I might try her on buttons as well.
That ramp walk by Glamour & Paulie through the corridor was puurrrrfect ❤ . Todd is a nice guy, cares for them ! Coexist with everyone with kindness, we should learn from them ❤
Interesting how Todd likes to see his kitty siblings receive attention and toys. Makes me wonder if this is a personality trait or if all cats are like this :)
We might know more about that if many, many cats had buttons. In the few multi-cat households I've seen only one cat uses the buttons, so maybe they see it as a responsibility. 😀 Russell in catmanjohn will ask for toys for the other three cats in the household.
OMGosh watching Todd run down the hall with those fluffy britches of his cracks me up every time. Glamour is such a Princess❗ and she is, too Paulie is so adorable. Is Mom Paulie's hooman❓
It was nice hearing Todd ask for something nice for Paulie, even if he didn't know what Paulie really would have preferred. Speaking for me, and only me, I didn't realize how much I relied on the subtitles until they weren't there when Todd pressed one of the buttons, and it wasn't loud enough for me to hear it (even after turning the volume up and replaying it a couple of times), so when you responded, I was still lost. Oh well... that's the breaks of getting older I guess. I would be happy to wait for you to upload videos later if it means the difference between having subtitles or not having subtitles. Again, just my 2¢.
I love how you drop everything to meet his needs. I do the same with my two cats. I hope people learn from watching you…we could use a bit more love and gentleness in the world.
My dear, sweet Todd! I was thinking of you today. Every Labor Day weekend the golf course just down the road from us have a Family Fun Weekend and the end the festival with a BIG fireworks show. I was thinking of Todd this whole day and I was SO VERY, VERY grateful you do not live in my neighborhood! 😂
I love Todd and all the kitties. My daughter adopted a Siberian house car during Covid as she has lots of medical health, problems and it was the best thing for her mental health. I think you are such a kind and loving man to you animals xx
Every time I watch one of your videos I am constantly amazed at what a good communicator Todd is and what an intelligent cat he is. You have obviously put in a lot of time training him and your patience is evident in every video.❤❤❤🙌🏻
You're such a good cat dad!! I am always so impressed with how you handle your multicat household! I have a lot of cats and it's challenging sometimes to give each cat the love and attention they need!
Of the Ferals I've been feeding for over 5 years, one has taken to asking me to follow him across the road in order to feed his shy friend!! Too cute. "big G" comes to get me and gives me leg rubs with his face and tail, (he is feral though truly,) then has taken to sniffing the food and skipping away, waiting for me to follow! This is the entire last week now. So, I follow. His feral friend waits under an abandoned vehicle for us to return. D'oh! cute.
As if an animal using human words wasn't astounding enough, to think that a cat would ask for something for another animal is remarkable. We always think of cats as very self-centered.
it interests me seeing these videos of both dogs and cats, that dogs do seem to be more in the moment and cats seem to be more "planners," if you will, telling their human what they want now and later. Both are equally intelligent, but cats seem to think more outside the box if you know what I mean.
@@spacechicken527 I can see that. Cats are ambush predators so it takes a bit of thinking ahead. Dogs are more chase it till it stops from exhaustion. 😆

Todd’s the social director of the house. He wants to make sure everyone is having a good time.
I have an alternative name for you: "The Toddfather" lol
It will be difficult for Dad to make Todd an offer he can't refuse
Todd is always thinking. He is so precious.
When so many humans use language for negative reasons, I’m uplifted by Todd using his abilities to help care for his family. ❤
Like father, like son. Or, like daddy, like kitty. Both wonderful considerate beings.
Todd wants Glamour and Paulie to have what he enjoys. Good boy.
Isn't he the sweetest?!
Todd wants every kitty in the world to get the belly rubs he likes so much.
Aww, Todd is such a dear! I find it so interesting that he uses his buttons to ask for things for Paulie and Glamour. What a kind boy he is!
Todd's amazing. You remind me Mr. Rogers, only with cats. So sweet and patient. 😊
