Just got a new dishwasher that looks like this where the rinse aide goes. I was pouring the rinse aide into the little hole, not the area under the cap lol!!

The rinse aid did get everywhere the first time I poured it.. I’m new to using a dishwasher, but I know they’ve been around for decades… you’d think they’d figure it out by now, but i guess not… spill, spill your rinse aid away~~~or use your fingertip to cover it, lol!

This was perfect and it’s my same dishwasher. The liquid did go down quickly so I thought I put it in the wrong space.

Look at that level glass when add that rinse aid!!! When level glass show "FULL", it's FULL!! If you pouring there too much, it can leak out during washing mode and make foam. That can prevent water pump and those spinning shower arms to work properly. You can drop some rinse to your sink and check how much it makes foam with water! Very very small amount of rinse aid needed per wash.

I know it seems simple but I don't understand one thing. You say to fill it to the top, but as soon as you do, it starts disappearing. At least, in the video it looks like it's flowing out of the rinse aid compartment, maybe into a reservoir below it??? How do you know how much to put it? Or am I seeing this incorrectly? Thanks!
You monitor it through the 'leveler meter' on the right. When you see the liquid gets 'filled to the top' of the meter then stop otherwise you'd end up overfilling the reservoir on the left.

Very helpful but i can sometimes open it. The cap feels like it's being sucked in so I cant open it.
This is actually a good thing as it means the o-ring is working properly and sealing the rinse aid hole but yeah it can be annoying if it seals too tight
