    I'm thrilled to present my new personalized vocal program SINGING IGNITION!
    www.singingignition.com
    SINGING IGNITION is a revolutionary self-study singing program that lets you practice techniques and exercises customized for you...wherever and whenever you want!
    The basic problem with a video or audio recording, whether on TH-cam or a self-study course, is it can’t give you the valuable feedback you need! They can’t determine what your voice specifically needs, curate the exercises that will work for you, and then adjust the exercises according to how your voice reacts.
    That’s what a good voice teacher does. They tailor the content of their lessons to your needs.
    But maybe you aren’t ready to commit to regular lessons. Or maybe you just can’t afford a voice teacher right now. Times are tough!
    So you're stuck either booking a voice teacher, which can get expensive and has limited hours. Or you are forced to use a self-study course that can’t really give you the feedback you need to excel...
    ...and maybe you just don't feel comfortable quite yet, sharing your talent with anyone else!
    Finally, all of this has been solved by the revolutionary new system SINGING IGNITION!

      I’ll also second that opinion. I’ve been performing/singing professionally for 30 years and recently lost my mixed range when I wasn’t gigging as much during Covid. These exercises have helped a great deal. Although I will say when I don’t have the proper monitor set up and I’m struggling to hear my voice, I lose any upper range in a matter of three or four songs and it’s awful. Another thing that seems to happen, and maybe it’s because I like a loud monitor, my ears start to plug up and I have to keep popping them in order to hear my monitor, but again this is probably from years of the bad habit of a loud monitors 😩😖😆

    I liked this simple explanation on breaks. Having sung professionally as an operatic singer (oratorio too), and taught hundreds of students over 48 years of teaching, one of my 16 year old baritones has a huge break in his voice. I've tried most of these exercises - vocal fry - siren - etc. It's getting better but I'm sending his this short video clip to see if he understands how to blend a bit better. He's extremely talented so I want to help him overcome this. Thank you for sharing.

    Could you possibly make a video about the vocal break between mixed voice and head voice? I struggle more with transitioning from my mixed voice into my head voice without a ton of cracking

    I subscribed! I think my problem in general is that my voice gets tired after a while. & i feel like i have good and bad days its kinda annoying. Maybe it depends on my diet that day and those kind of stuff. But yeah voice cracks & strains! You seem very professional and glad you reply to some comments! Tysm!

      Thanks for subscribing. If your voice is up and down, I would go the doctor (and perhaps an ENT) to get your voice checked. Sometimes allergies or acid reflux can debilitate a voice without the singer realizing it. Of course, the caveat is I'm not a medical professional so go with what your doctor suggests.
      It's also possible that your technique is inconsistent so some of your habits are wearing your voice out. Seek out a trained, experienced voice teacher to give you tailored instruction for your specific needs. If you don't have one already, you can book a trial Skype lesson with my studio here: spencerwelch.com/ko-trial-lesson

      Spencer Welch Vocal Studio Yes! I have acid reflux quite often but also under my chin. Could have nodules too. But yes i went to the GP and they said they will refer me to an ENT doctor so atm im just waiting. Yess it may also be bad habit and wrong techniques. Thank you so much for taking your time to reply! I’ll be sure to check that.

    Thanks for watching! Does your voice break very often when you go to sing a high note? Or do you find you have to switch quickly from chest to head voice in order to keep singing up your range? Tell me about your struggles in the comments below :)

      @talk6696 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Spencer Welch Vocal Studio No, when start belting high I sometimes just switch into my mix voice which is head dominate. All my registers are connected.
      Sometimes I do switch into my head-voice by choice when going higher.
      A struggle of mines is pulling my chest voice up because I don’t like singing with my heady mix.
      All of this maybe confusing 😭.

      @@talk6696 The way you described it isn't confusing. I was like you. I didn't like the light feeling of singing with a heady mix so I would go back to pulling up chest. But it wasn't until I learned to accept and live in my head voice and mix that I was able to let it grow organically into something fuller. However, to a degree, it never stops feeling weak when it sounds huge (for me at least.) This is what true resonance and efficient singing often feels like.

    Could you please do a video on how to get a balanced mixed voice? Or if it’s possible.

    • @SpencerWelchVocalStudio
      @SpencerWelchVocalStudio  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for your suggestion. I will seriously consider this topic. It is possible to sing with a balanced mixed voice, but it is something that is easier to teach one-on-one than in a video since everyone is different. Learning to be balanced means the student is starting off somehow "unbalanced"...but in which way? Every singer is different in their habits so there isn't one adjustment that every singer must make. It is really a case of "it depends."

    • @SpencerWelchVocalStudio
      @SpencerWelchVocalStudio  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are struggling to find a balanced mix, I would high suggest finding a good teacher to show you a) how you are unbalanced and b) what exercises you must do to adjust your balance. If you don't already have a teacher, we would be happy to help with a trial Skype lesson for only $15: spencerwelch.com/ko-trial-lesson
