Great comparison! I also downsize into the 8-9 shells for both of these skates. I personally found the 5th Elements to also be a bit "shocky" to my feet even off the smallest obstacles on landings. There was something kind of weird about the way they fit too around the toes specifically, probably just me. I do prefer the SLs over the 5th Elements but I haven't skated the 5ths in a long time so I don't have a fresh perspective on them. I do like how light the SL is and the shock absorber does feel nice too. I think I prefer Razors Genesys and Cults over the SLs interestingly though. I also know what you mean about Intuitions in SLs feeling off. Mine feel tight vertically in the toebox and I do feel a bit of heel lift but the toe pressure is actually alleviated in the Genesys. I don't get that same vertical toe pressure since they are roomier in the toe but do still get a touch of heel lift in them too.

I think the 5th element looks better on however it doesn’t come in my size so I won’t be able to try it out. I’ll one day try the razors. Thanks for the comparison vid!! 🙏🏽

The struggle is real for 275 mondos! I've tried downsizing into a lot of 8-9 shells and am currently skating the Fifth Elements. It's one of the few 8-9 boots that I can skate with an Intuition, and I agree completely that a stiff Intuition helps balance out the flexiness of the boot. It's not a perfect skate (I think it's a little heavy), but otherwise I'm loving them.
