What a beautiful and versatile bag! I'm going to make one for me to load with goodies and take to my grandson's baseball games. Thank you so much for another amazing tutorial!
Love this tote. It's a good size for me. I'm not very big and sometimes totes can be a bit overpowering on me. This one looks like it would be just right. Thank you Andrea.
I love this bag. I like the sound of your voice and taking time to explain every detail slowly, detailing every action, Thank you for posting . I always subscribe to your videos.
Thanks Andrea! I was happy to see another video posted. As always, I appreciate your designs and absolutely clear instructions and pattern measurements.
Nice easy and versatile bag, economical too. I was just wondering if doing the gussets on the outside was just a design feature? Is it possible to do them on the inside like you usually do with the duck canvas? I love the ease of this cute bag. Looks like a perfect library book tote bag among many other things.
That is what I used, the drop cloth frays a lot and the true measurements aren't correct then. Would recommend using a little more yardage for it. Make sense?
Belíssima bolsa👍

Have you written any sewing instruction books about your baga ? If so I will surely purchase.I will check Amazon.
I do not have any written instruction books on Amazon; but, thank you for the suggestion!
Beautiful - functional bag! What would you sell this bag for?
$28 to $35 plus shipping and sales fees
Sewspire You are my absolutely most very favorite sewing channel. Hands-down. Thank you for your reply.
Do you wash the canvas before sewing. What do you do to prevent fraying when you wash it?
I do not prewash the material I use for bags. If you want to prewash you will need to serge the raw edges.
great tutorial! what sewing machine do you use?
I have several. The Janome's are my favorites!
What a great project! I love the accent pattern on the inside. Do you recall what needle you used in your machine to sew the duckcloth?
Nice easy and versatile bag, economical too. I was just wondering if doing the gussets on the outside was just a design feature? Is it possible to do them on the inside like you usually do with the duck canvas? I love the ease of this cute bag. Looks like a perfect library book tote bag among many other things.
Yes, you can do the gussets on the outside of the bag, it looks neater.
Could you use droop cloth to make this tote?
I think so.
That is what I used, the drop cloth frays a lot and the true measurements aren't correct then. Would recommend using a little more yardage for it. Make sense?
I don’t have an duck fabric at the time, I do have some outdoor fabric..what you think. What would be the difference?
Any outdoor, home decor, twill or denim material would work well Marilyn.
Love this Andrea! Quick question...did you pre-wash the fabric for this project? Do you ever pre-wash fabrics for projects?
Great question! I did not prewash these fabrics and would be nervous about washing that deep red as it may bleed.
Did you cut the corners on the wrong side before you turned the corners up 4 inches?
Not for the exterior. Just the interior.
I can't find the PDF for this tote. Can someone direct me. I looked in Etsy shop!
Stupid question...why do you use 3/8” seam allowance? I use 1/4” for everything 🤔
I don't know if I missed it but, where did you get the fabric from?
Thanks for asking! I shopped all of the supplies for this project at Walmart.
What can you please tell me the GSM or oz of the canvas
10oz canvas is my preference; hope that helps you.
