England Road Tours - A170 Thirsk to Scarborough

Today's road trip takes us 44 miles along the A170, a major road connecting Thirsk, Helmsley, Kirkbymorside, Pickering, and Scarborough, along the southern edge of the North York Moors. Single carriageway in its entirety, the road zigzags up Sutton Bank, throws itself around bends near Helmsley, and hits traffic in Pickering, and passes through many smaller villages before descending into Scarborough at the A171.
