Also since my husband passed away it makes me extremely sad when the next season comes in because it makes me realize just how long he has been gone. I’m loving this video! Helpful hint...you got to pull your weeds out with their roots, if not it'll grow right back
Came here to say the same thing! 😊 Usually I will just brush some of the mulch away with my hands so I can see the roots a little better and I generally twist and pull. Also a weed barrier under the mulch helps stop the weeds amazingly well!
That cat sure does like you. He has a home away from home when he's around you.

Especially when my mom and dad died a few years ago I realized how short life is. My sister is very ill now and my husband and I take care of her. I just want life to go slow. ❤

Hello Kimi, I fell asleep again last night 😉. I also work in my garden, as I am alone and older it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to do anything in the garden. But whatever. Your videos always give me the motivation to keep going. 😍🌹🌷. The weeds are growing particularly well this year with all the rain. I always use vinegar cleaner, dishwashing soap and a little water, mix it up and pour it on the weeds and it will destroy them. Lots of love to you and Aaron from Germany 🤓👨🌾👩🌾🐈🐈🐕😘❤😍🌻😎Konny. You guys could get some evergreen trees to plant and they could make you a privacy fence as they get taller and spread out. They are sometimes decently priced at Lowes or Tractor Supply. Be nice with your fruit trees. Plus they give smaller birds a place to hide out. Everything is looking great!

Kim!! Take up all the mulch and lay cardboard down. It will help keep the weeds from coming, and it is free. Been using it for years in all my garden beds.

He has an owner and they're lovely. I did give him some food just in case their bowl ran out and I fill up a big ice bowl of water for all the cats that come around too so I think he's healthy but maybe likes to have company as his owner is gone working long hours 💖
I change my decor in July/August to sunflowers. Here is Michigan, my sunflowers are one of the last flowers to bloom. I enjoy the muted yellows (not a sunny yellow). I find it to be a great transition color going toward fall.

Just a word of advice from my own experience with only one apple tree. Our apple tree was there when we bought our mobile home and let me tell you, it made an incredible mess every year. I had to go outside every other day and pick up all the fallen apples. Usually 6 to 8 five gallon buckets full. This would go on for months until all the apples fell off the tree. Not mention the apples which were all half eaten by birds attracted yellow jackets and wasps. We just had the tree cut down a couple of weeks ago & I am so happy to not have to deal with that mess anymore. I just wanted you to know what your in for especially with multiple fruit trees. You will be in for a tremendous amount of upkeep.
Our plan is to grow a homestead in our backyard so the up keep would be expected but you did change my mind with the yellow jackets lol. I'll have to see if there's fruit trees that don't attract those

I love to decorate for all seasons. I start fall after Labor Day! Then Christmas after Thanksgiving, then a little here and there for Valentines Day, then spring/ Easter next, then patriotic decor around Memorial Day through July 4th. Hello Kimi, Your hard work has been paying off. Your yard is looking good. I’m not sure if your state carries it, but there’s a product called Preen. It is a weed prevention. You just sprinkled over your mulch and it stops weed seeds from germinating. Watching from Canada.🇨🇦

Someone else made the comment about using Preen. It does work I use it in my mulch. I do get a weed here and there but you might want to check it out. I think Walmart carries it.🙂❤

Reading the Word of God is amazing. I know a lot of people hunger for that. One thing we never stop learning God's word. We have to pray to God for an understanding of His word because some verses mean something totally different. And other verses we have to read over and over to let it sink in.

Hey Kimi! Why don’t you make an all natural weed killer with white vinegar, dawn dish liquid and salt. It’s safe around pets and all natural. Just spray it on what you want to get rid of because whatever it gets on it will kill.😊
So I've tried all sorts of weed killers and they never work for me and I've sprayed them multiple times. I guess these weeds just like to be pulled but honest. I know I do love pulling weeds cuz of how tranquil it is
What's the ratio for the homemade weed killer?
@darlenegraziano7475 Hey there, Darlene. I use one of those 2 gal. Pump sprayers with adjustable spray wand/nozzle. Pour one gal. White vinegar, 1 cup salt, and fill to the fill line with hot tap water and mix well until salt dissolves. Add 1 to 2 Tbsp. Of Dawn liquid dish detergent. Gently stir so it doesn't get too foamy. Unlike chemical weed killers that need the sun, you can spray this on cloudy overcast days. Spray when the weather is not calling for rain for at least a few days. Sometimes I will do multiple applications days or weeks apart, because of seeds sprouting new plants after spraying. That is what I use and how I use it. I hope this is helpful. It will kill everything you spray so also spray when it's not windy. If I have a weed close to a plant, I will get down at the base of the weed and drip the solution around it so it doesn't kill my plants that are close by. You can also skip the salt and dish liquid when spraying cracks in concrete, stone or brick areas. The salt is corrosive and Dawn just helps the mixture stick to the leaves of the weeds. Hi Kimi I very much enjoy your videos. Everyone is anticipating when you get the dumpster, I feel like you all will not have as many snakes in your yard when the old shed is gone. A place lived many years ago had an old storage shed not as close to our house as yours is and we found baby snakes around the house quite often even one in the house. That made me nervous. Okay enough about that. You and Aaron work hard, go have that cold watermelon it sounds good.

Another great video. I hope one day my rose bushes will look like yours. They were up against the house and getting a bit squished. I had my husband move them forward to give them more room to grow and more sun. Two of them are just branches now but they do still have green on them so I hope they will do good next year. They were blooming before he moved them. I am sure we should have done the move before they started blooming but we didn't have time. A third one was very tiny and looked dead when he moved it. That one is looking good and has flowers on it now. Have a great day!

Ants also tunnel throughout compost and may extend their colony here, which helps aerate the compost more. Aeration helps break down your compost, adds more air to the tunnels, and helps sharp particles in your pile break down more quickly.

You may want to move bird feeders over a grassy spot, not your flower beds. The seeds birds spit out or drop, end up turning into weeds, everywhere below feeder. Learned the hard way, here.
