Given that my source of energy is from maize gem how many kg will i be required to feed my cow assuming my cow weighs 500kg and producing 30l per day on average how many kg of maize gem can i give to my cow.

@@kelvinkithinji4906 harvested at the right stage and wilted to property. It will give you a DM of 25%. A cow consumes 3 % of its body weight. If its only the Nappier feed means you will feed 50kg of nappier 4kg of maize germ and add 1kg dairy meal for every 2 L of milk. ( NB. Stage of harvest and preservation affects nutrition content)

Hay requires to be wilted to bellow 20% which is not quit practice. I’m making a video on silage making , will upload today it might help you on how you can make
