- Welcome to Sonne Farms! On this channel we showcase numerous jobs a Corn/Soybean/Beef producing operation takes on each day. Hop in the cab or sorting alley with Cole, Brian, and Jeff, to see how life really is for the people that help feed the US and the rest of the world. In addition to Corn, Soy, and Cattle, Sonne Farms puts up grass and alfalfa and sells pure bred Black Angus Bulls in South Dakota.

My Father and his family were immigrants from Eastern Europe and were given free land, 4 wooden acres in Manitoba, Canada . It took my Grandfather 2 years of blood and sweat to clear those acres, basically on his own. I see the dedication and love between you and your Dad and it makes my heart smile. Farmers are the real heroes of the World. God bless you and your family, Cole.
you are still an immigrant, NATIVE LAND.

Clearing a heavily wooded area back in the day was a huge job. Your power was one, maybe two horses or mules and some picks and shovels. These days, Cole and Brian could do it before breakfast and make a good video of it. Times have changed. I wonder how many workers it would take then to work Sonne Farms without modern machinery. I always get a little depressed when Cole does 4 or 5 big jobs that would take me a month and then says "well it's lunch time now". What a man. Brian brought him up well.
does your family have Ukrainian origin, buddy ?
Cole and Brian, I love how you two work together with your cows. You are like a well oiled machine. It seems you know what the other is thinking. It does this old man good to watch you on your journey. Great video. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed week.
Your relationship with your Dad is a blessing. The love is obvious and real.
The life of a farmer. What the rain didn't drown will start growing like crazy.
Thanks for letting us visit Sonne Farms cattle ranch today ! 👍
That's how I think of it. Visiting friends. Sometimes on a non-video day I wish I could visit.

You can always search for a rerun and watch it again 👍
Boy you guys ain’t quitters, you just keep on keeping on no matter what
OH, it's minus 10 out with blowing snow. Gotta go do chores as soon as the sun's up.
The thing that impresses me the most about these guys is that when the necessary work it done, instead of popping a beer and sitting in front of the TV, they work on a project that will improve the farm for the future. Replace or build a fence. Put in better gates to make things easier. Cole is amazing with keeping the maintenance of the machinery up. It amazes me that he greases the machines each time he takes one out to work. They are building a farm for the new generations of Sonnes. You don't see that much anymore.
5:26 I swear that calf thinks it's a kangaroo lol
I’ve noticed that when it comes to any physical labor, Cole moves in on Brian and takes over. Good job Cole. Ahhhh youth!
Never has to be told and never shirks a hard, dirty job. Does it usually with a good humor.
Another Sonne Day. That would make a great t shirt!
I love the way in the opening shot how Ellie apears to do her inspection as you are pulling out of the yard with the trailer attached- load approved! Lol
6:32 The ultra-rare javelin slappy! lol Always a highlight
As I've probably said 100x beautiful Angus. You all should be proud
Them little calfs sure throw a ruckus in those chutes, it looked like on the 1st bunch that one of them jumped high enough to boink their head. Crazy little calfs.😂
Always love watching Sonne farms❤
I like that Cole and Brian go the extra mile and squirt on that beef flavor seasoning liquid on their cattle to make the steaks taste more delicious.
Great job guys! 🤣
That lush green grass. Those 4wheelers are essential tools.
Next Olympic Sport. The "Slappy Chuck"!
That was a good idea to let the four-wheeler push the fences back together instead of having to do it by hand. 👍
The south Dakota sky is so beautiful!
That's a nice corral! It pays to be safe when working cattle
I’ll tell you what apples I enjoy during nearly every episode…when Cole hooks up, be it truck and trailer, tractor and trailer, tractor and assorted implements-he hits that sweet spot every time the first time. I know he (Cole) might edit to make it look smoother, but I don’t think he does-every time right on the ball/hitch the first time he backs up-that is an underrated skill!
Hi Brian and Cole,
Never a dull moment for you guys. I've been concerned about Brian. It's obvious that he has a lot on his mind. Hope all is well and we can get back to having a song of the day, 😊.
I have the greatest respect for the work you do each day. I remember baling hay when I was 13 years old in Pennsylvania. Our model H Farmall, pulling the international baler ( maybe a model 46 - don't remember), slowly pushing the bale up the chute, onto the wagon where we stacked it, one bale at a time
Later we were in the barn loft, restacking those same bales.
I love the way you do it these days!
Please take care of yourselves!
Love you guys,
Tom and Jane
Love seeing a father and son working together ❤
Fields look so lush and green, I’m sure you will get a second cut this year. I know it’s muddy and a bit of a burden but remember same time last year all farmers were praying for rain. Like you said, all the dugouts are full of water for the cattle, yes you lost some crop to flooding but blessed with plentiful alfalfa and grass this year. Just remember…Good Problems . God Bless and stay safe. Give Ellie a good ear scratching for us, she’ is still “the boss” in our book!😇
That portable corral/chute system is extraordinarily well designed !
That portable corral system absolutely rocks, nice set-up!😉👍
Haircut looks GREAT! Reminds me of a young Jean Claude Van Damme. Maybe Ray Ban will jump on board and be a sponsor.
Much Love as Always 🌞 Farms!!!!
That calf in the chute reminded me of a Boarder Collie climbing over sheep. He had some moves.
Thank you Sonne farms
WISHING YOU BOTH AND YOUR FAMILIES A SAFE AND HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!
Very good job getting the group’s of black angus together. You make it look so easy. Have a great 4th of July all you Sonnes!
nice dance move Brian to not get hit by that cow
Enjoy the 4th of july. As always like your blog🇺🇸🇺🇲
Great video. Praying the drown out damage is not too painful. God Bless.
G’job fellers, hope y’all have a great Independence Day 🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸
Why is it that every time I see the both of you rounding up your cattle out in your pastures, the film, "City Slickers" pops into my mind? :-)
Another fine video
You and Dad have the dream team down. Loved watching.❤
great how u and your dad get along, wish my dad was still here to help me with my cattle we had good times too
I'm so impressed w/ your new corals and cow handling equipment ! So well designed !!
Best channel on You Tube. Love watching it wish they would make longer videos A++++++++++++++++++++
That portable corral is slicker than deer gut on a doorknob, I'll tell you whut. Shout out to the Honda Rancher 4 wheelers too. Good sturdy machines. Love watching you guys work.....takes my stress away.
Love your handling of the bovines, the animals seem to have a good torrence of humans because of you.
Also, the grass and hay fields are greening up nicely.
Love it, Brian talked about fish sticks. I just made supper and sat down with my fish sticks and watched you two.
Yup. Melted American cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo on toast.
Next Olympic games- Slappy throw
Great looking bunch of calfs Old farmer says don't look at the cow look at the calf Them calfs ain't missed too many meals
Go to the 7:52 mark. Didn't know you had Chewbacca on the farm..lol
Good thing you guys have the portable corral instead of having to work the cattle in the mud. Praying you guys can cut and bale second cut soon!
Thanks for another great video Cole and Brian.
It was interesting and enjoyable to watch.
Nice job 👍 working your herd.
They all look great on that green grass.
That portable corral system you have is awesome to have. Makes working your herd a lots easier.
You had a warm day and probably some humidity too work in. Nice to finish the herd later in the day when a bit cooler.
You both are very fine herdsmen!!!!!!!!
Sonny is really growing up fast. Such a nice little dog. Cute.
You ground is really saturated. The portable corral leg sank right into the ground. Wow. Nice you had the tractor hooked to it.
Got your cows and calf’s all treated. Can’t beat that.
You both take care and be safe. Thanks for everything.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Almost fly repellent season with that newest fancy spray rig😇 appreciate the care y’all give your animal and equipment Happy 4th of July
Greatful to see the water is going down. I’m with you on that, you should definitely get another cutting from those fields. Good luck.
A bit surprised the Arrowquip mobile unit didn't get bogged down in the mud.
That's the first time I've seen it used out in the field. Seems to be effective.
Happy 4th from VA another good video
You guys have the best toys gates and equipment
Ellie and Sonny are cute as heck but y'all really need a good cow dog. Like you, we're a ATV (no horse) ranch but couldn't do it without our trusty Texas Heeler, Snuffy.
Happy 4th guys from 🇦🇺🇦🇺
Great video! Happy Independence Day Sonne Family, hope you all have a safe and wonderful day!❤❤
The panic in that “Help! help!” Had me dying 😂😂
Sure is nice to see green pastures and happy cows. 😊
We're going on our 3rd cutting on our alfalfa. Pretty high quality alfalfa it grows really fast.
I really like the portable. It works great & safely for people and cattle. Good job all around.
Cole you should get the weed wacker out get around the feeders and barns spuce the place up👍
It sure is looking like you’ll get a 2nd cutting or Hay n Alfalfa. Those fields look to have enough moisture to hold you over for a couple weeks to a month. Not counting the rain you’ll continue to get too
Cole if this farming thing doesn’t work out for you then you can enter the Olympic Sonne Farms slappy javelin throwing contest.
The cows were extra boisterous and the calves were doing a little parkour in the corral today. That’s what I call fresh beef.
I think I’m just gonna start praying for safe, productive and profitable farming seasons for y’all.
awsome video cole thumbs up and shared
Great videos as usual
You guys are awesome ranchers
Happy 4th of July Brian and Cole Sonne
Thanks and GOD BLESS
Great and video Cole .
That T-Shirt is just getting broke in Brian….😅
Looks as if you will have a bumper crop of hay. It is gonna be in short supply down in Texas this year the way it is going.
Ya’ll have a wonderful 4th . And thank a Veteran.
Excellent!!
Good looking animals you two… you got got nice looking cattle as well! HA.
Seriously.. absolutely enjoy your videos and enjoy the interactions between you and your Dad Cole… I lost my Dad a year ago… his name was Don. I’m not sure you still name your bulls… but if you do… Don is a strong name.
Ken from central New York State.
Thanks for being a farmer, you are needed!
Can't believe how much rain you guys got down south ( I live up in the north east corner of SD ) excellent video 👍
❤ from Norway
you will surly get a good second cut now , make it wile you can now you have the rain , so different to last few years , the calves look really good and strong , growing well from what we can see , love a few of them to take through to beef
Great video. Thanks
Cole
with me it's evening¨there's only three hours left
before it's the 4th of July (US)
so when you have a channel, you have the whole world with you
so it can both be tomorrow afternoon
and evening and then night (because I sometimes go between and see it at night too)
Can't get enough of watching Sonny. I love Corgis!
Awesome video Cole. I at one time had a Black Pug. Had her trained to bark at cows and horses. Or if I mentioned cows or horses she'd go crazy looking for them to bark at them... had her up close to some cows, she just stood there in awww and didn't make a sound. 🚜🚜🚜
Every time I see that portable Corral I cant help but think about making it hydraulically deploy. Im pretty sure its doable.
Thanks 😊
Years ago I started buying Vneck tshirts for working in the heat, cooler than having shirt right on the neck.
I like how you used the 4 wheeler to close the fencing, when Uncle Jeff the powerhouse isn't around you have to improvise.. the cattle sure look great...
Thanks for the video !
My pleasure!
I was almost proud Cole as a native Metis Canadian for a moment I thought you could spear your supper with a Sonne farms slappy but your going to have to stick with the super market beef. HA LOL ;) :)
All good!
great video thank you
Enjoyed.
Looks hot, muggy, and buggy. But, all the lush green is so much better than the last few years. Great video, thanks!
@7:53 I'm pretty sure you captured Chewbacca!!😆
Not a farm person but on your videos the cattle don't seem that large but up close they are good sized animals that I wouldn't want to be run over by one or pinched in a gate with one.
VERY GOOD
That’s one airborne calf there.
green wonderland - happy days
I know crickets are supposed to be destructive, but I love listenin' to 'em.
Just like kids ,don’t like shots! Happy 4th of July ❤️🇺🇸
You must work every day. That's farming whether is turf or mud or turf that turns into mud. Those calves look big and healthy now
Does the pour also treat intestinal parasites?
By the way Brian, you can always dump water over your head and get your shirt wet to cool off. Shake your hair out too. Its refreshing. 🥰
yes internal too
@@briansonne814 OH, that's good. Ever had trouble with cows swallowing hardware? Have you ever given a cow a magnet?
@@KellysAdventures305 i dont but some people do
@@briansonne814 glad you haven't had trouble with that.
