Glad to hear someone else doesn't think Volc is OP. Tera and boots made it wayyyy more powerful but it's hp and Def are low enough to play around it. Maybe I'm just lying to myself because I want Volc back in OU 😢 Tera grass Volc w giga drain was the shitttttt. Started playing comp very casually in gen 5 and been using essential the same Volc moveset and EV spread for a decade now lmao Best bug type forsure.
Volc is great! It probably maybe deserved the ban with how tera is now, but I'm personally hoping for open tera so the mechanic can be more balanced and we can get some unbans

We generally try to avoid banning moves unless there are multiple abusers of the move in OU - Volcarona was the only OU quiver dancer. The reason is that it comes across as making rules for a single Pokémon just to keep it in OU - think of little Timmy who wants to use Kyogre in OU and says it would be balanced if it can’t use water moves. He’s right, but we don’t make such specific rules that only apply to 1 Mon just to have it in OU
Volcarona in UBERs is considered completely unviable, a complete shitmon. It's likely not seeing any play unless the OU council decides to nerf tera in some way.

@@Hensley_Jb the move didn't do what it was supposed to which is what screwed with the opponent. Spore puts the pokemon to sleep which didn't happen at one point.
