Yeah that was exactly my problem, it would be quiet in my display but as soon as I put it in the rear chamber it would be 5 times louder. I also did an airline tube modification so it’d be quieter
It is working but I'm being told it is too wet. I have been tuning the air down so it doesn't fill up so fast. The tube has a clamp that is hard to fine tune. It collects a lot of sediment though. Good luck!
@@Dollarmkr Thanks for the reply. Mine is too dry! But I think thats just because it's breaking in and my tank is not cycled. Mine was too wet when I had it sitting lower. Maybe bring it a little above the water level?
@@Dollarmkr this is a good point... Tbh I cleaned mine tonight and lowered it a tremendous amount and I'm getting good bubbles now.. before it was just spitting
Has anybody thought about removing the blue screw entirely and using a small metal valve to regulate the air? Wondering if this would help get it set just right
Used the same tunze in our tank for a while. It's a good system but in my opinion it's a bit to loud.
Best regards

What exactly was too loud? The air intake or the bubbles inside the skimmer? Or the motor humming?
were you happy with the outcome of the skimmer now after its been a few months?
Hey how has this been working for you? I just got mine.. Tank is still cycling

@@Gankdatmoney Raising it up and down is the only real way to adjust wether the skim is wet or dry
Where did you find that plastic elbow that goes below?
Everything came with. After trying a few of these I recommend the pinwheel version.
Its a bit wet brother. Lower the adjustment to where the water level is at the base of the cup and you will get a drier skim
Makes sense. Thanks.
I've been trying to get dryer skimmate - but can't find the right height
I'm still adjusting the air flow. It is difficult to get right. I should have bought the digital motor version.
