- Every time Martha Soipan was beaten by her then husband, she would run to her mother to seek solace. And every time, her mother would urge her to go back to her husband and ‘persevere.’
What she didn’t know was that her mother was having an affair with him all along! 😥😥😥😥
Soipan decided to go public about it about a year ago. Her mum and her ex confronted her and told her that they were not going to end their relationship 😥😥😥

This is the 1st time i am meeting with very negative comments on Metha and its really disheartening.
I do not believe Monica can re-do an already done story without doing her due diligence and for a reason.
The fact that there has never been justice for the rape even after speaking out explains why this story needs to be retold. On the other hand the mother wound is tough and especially at this level. You cant just tell someone to forgive and move on. Complecated grief cannot be explained or wished away.
Until she can get a therapist sepcialized in both complicated loss and grief and PTSD this issues will never be dealt with in her heart. She might not be "perfect" but its not fare to belittle her pain either.
I hope she gets justice.

Monica you asked for the lessons we learn from here, before I continue let me say rapist pastor need face the law and I can’t imagine her ex husband is still roaming after making this woman disabled! Monica, for the lessons I would like to let all adults who faced child abuse to know that you’re not obligated to help any abuser no matter who they’re are or the problems they are facing! You were a child they abused you and it is this very early abuse that’s causing chaos in your life. Tuko pamoja hadi hapa? Realize this anyone who abuses you is either narcissistic or carries another cluster b personality disorder and an abuser will never love you or change to love you, they inherently hate you much! Their aim is to stay hurting you! That’s the case of her mom! Finally understand this, an abuser can be anyone, your parent, spouse, co worker, boss, adult child etc
Also one last bit, with helping, not unless you are helping children (next generation) don’t sell things to cater for an already older generation!
