Y'all have mentioned a few times how Tech looks undersized/undermanned against other teams. Joey is in his 3rd year of bringing in top 50+ recruiting classes and the first group just went through their 3rd year in college. Shouldn't this be fixed by now? Have some of the recruits underwhelmed so far or is it just a numbers/depth problem?
Yeah I’ve been wondering about this. I definitely think there’s been misses in recruiting the secondary. But shouldn’t the D-Line be beefier? We keep talking about “young guys” needing to grow, but like you said, it’s year 3. Shouldn’t we have some growth? At the end of the day I’m not gonna worry about it if we’re just gonna buy these dudes. I’ll take as many DL/Edge players and DB players as possible. There’s a reason there’s been no real upsets in the playoff thus far. ASU had to throw all the BS they could at Texas and UT played poorly just for ASU to stay in that game.
Agree completely. Joey is living right with the timing of his tenure. Without the portal he would be in a world of hurt. Wells brought in far more talent. Hard to see many wins with Joey’s current roster and coaching ability. But much different with the portal.
Do you think there will be a concerted effort to get more big men in the future in mens BB? We have asked for this for years, and I know not everyone is a J.T. Toppin or Bryson Williams caliber player, but can we not get at least 2-3 guys every year that are 6"10" or above? When you need to clamp down inside or have injuries or foul trouble and need to match up physically, we can look down the bench and find one more big when needed.
My question is was the hit on the ASU WR not unwarranted contact against a defenseless receiver with possibility of targeting? We see this call often. they check for targeting, and whether or not targeting occured the roughing call always stands. The receiver had not had time to become a runner who could protect himself...per the rule.

Normally I don’t comment on this channel but I had to join you on this point and couldn’t agree more.
Strength and conditioning may be an issue

It seems the junior college ruling will help the programs at these schools. Kind of super prep schools. Kids can develop without losing eligibility.

So is the unnamed wr’s team STILL in the playoffs? The possibilities of what team he’s on is getting smaller if he is.
Believe so. Thanks for watching! #GunsUp
Why did the basketball team not fill all the scholarships. Knowing we were going to play all these games in the big 12. 2 a week no byes
