For the longest time we avoided promoted listings and we just ran sales.. glad we switched over though. We like using it in place of sales now and we definitely notice a difference!!
We were definitely happy with that sale! I wish the leather they were on was in better condition.. but still it was a cool sale and not something we typically have
i start new listings on 2% and let em soak for awhile - if I don't see any activity I might up to 5% - If more weeks go by and I get tired of seeing certain items - I keep the price elevated and up the promoted rate to the ebay suggested %, even if it is elevated.
I'm new to sourcing for ebay, you mentioned 400 items a week where do you find that many items available to buy. Are you getting them from wholesale somewhere? I can't see getting that much stuff thrift store.
When I do promoted listings I only do it on certian items. For me it depends on the competion on the product. If there is a lot then i will do 2or 3 percent.
thnx for the video bro. I have a question though - it seems like your campaign actually starts when the listing is new and ends in 3 weeks. Maybe I did not get it cause you said you don`t want to advertise the new listings. Shouldn´t it start in 3 weeks then. Thanks
You actually are partially correct here! Being that we started every three weeks- some of the stuff was only listed a few days before. This is because because we had all of the new listings each time we start a new promotion.. and all the new listings are between three days old and three weeks old. So yes, some of the listings are pretty new but at least they had a couple days to sell before we start the promotions. And not include those initially, but it’s quicker to just add all of them
I would say that typically we list between 80-140, depending on if it’s a chemo week for Paul or not. We can hit 300+ though but it depends on what we have lined up to list. (& if the weeks clear obviously lol). For example- when we had 100s of slot cars we could jam out 60-70 a day between the 2 of us. But usually in a full week I would say 130ish
Very good advice on promoted listings, there are so many ways to do it and it’s great to see a way that is working for someone.

I like your 3 week rule. Good strategy.
Thanks! It works pretty good for us I think!
Never would I thought those bells would go for that amount!

That makes sense for sure.. I could agree that some items just don’t need to be promoted. They just fly off the shelves
@resellcny For me patches for the most part do not need it. There is usually not much competition and it takes a very specific biuyer.
The fee only occurs if it sells, correct?
Yes
Feels like it's been awhile since I've seen a video from you guys lol
lol I know we feel the same way… it’s so hard to get in a good rhythm this time of year!!
@resellcny so true... way to nice out!
My create new campaign doesn't give me the option to put dates.

@@resellcny ok thanks for the clarification and advice. Wish you all the best.
Dear Lord Jesus! Thank you for this video!!!
You weren't sure about the minimum: 2% is the minimum. At one time it was 1%, but ebay changed that a few years ago.
Oh thank you for the heads up! I was thinking 2% but I wasn’t positive. Appreciate the help!!
Ehat if ur seller status is unavailable can u still do it
You’re listing 200-300 items per week?!? Please confirm that number.
Why is that number surprising? It’s two people doing 10 to 15 listings per day each for five or six days a week.
